I know it started with the Atari 2600, I'm not sure which my first actual game for it. It might have been Crystal Castles or Ghostbusters.

jumpman on the com64. But it was hotwheels, ghostbusters, and aztec challenge that made me an official gamer.

I can't remember what I played first... It was either my Cousins PS2, GTA3, my PSone, either Croc, Bugs Life or Crash Bandicoot, or A giant Gameboy that needed 4 AA batteries, and a faulty Pokemon yellow. But all of them bring fond memories back...

God I wish I hadn't thrown/given some of that stuff away...

Oh wow, I think my first game was Sonic the Hedgehog. It may have been Zelda, but the ones I definitely played the most were Sonic and Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf on Sega Genesis.

The first game I ever played was one belonging to my dad, 'twas on a floppy disk and played on a system that my young self only knew as "The Computer"
That game was superfrog, and it amazing! I bought it again a few years ago off eBay.

The second game I ever played was Worms, which is also amazing, and which I also bought again recently!

Some of us have been with games since the beginning, some of us have just began playing, regardless we all started with a certain game.

I'm 15, and have been playing games since I was 4. My first game (I can't remember the title), was a game made in the early 90's. I played it on my dad's old Apple II. It took place in a castle, where you play a character that has to solve a series of questions, to get around the castle. The questions ranged from sports to politics. I was very young, and I barely knew any of the answers, so I just spent my time clicking on random choices (A, B, C, D). Even so, I enjoyed it. If only I could remember the title, I want to start playing again..

Anyway, what was your first game?
Kinda sounds like that old game that came was hidden in the menus of Encarta... *Wikis* Ahh here we go: "Encarta also included a trivia game called "MindMaze" (till Encarta 2007) in which the player explores a castle by answering questions whose answers could be found in the encyclopedia's articles. The feature has been removed in 2008 and later versions." Maybe that's the game you mean? I certainly remember playing that when I was a kid and guess all the answers. :p

I think the game that started it all for me though would have to be the original worms. I remember having so much fun playing that against my little bro and dad... Good times...
