I always thought WaW was quite doable once you got the hang of it. You just stayed in one place until they lobbed their grenades, and then made a mad rush for the next one.ThatLankyBastard said:

Believe it or not, Lion King on the Sega Genesis. I would always die against an orangutan on the Hakuna Matata level. I could not defeat him for so long that it was the first game I stopped playing for a while.
When I finally defeated the orangutan, I was shocked to find out that the next level was with an adult Simba. I became enraged again, because I stopped playing the game for a month and I could have use that time to try and beat the orangutan and play adult Simba.
I was even more enraged when I found out that you only played as adult Simba for four levels (I reached the climax in the film, which was the showdown with Scar). It got worst when I found out I could not beat him because my health was too low (you can find special power-ups in each level that permanently increases your health).
I was so mad that I had to replay the game from the start, use a few continues to reacquire the same power-up (the game did not penalize your power-ups if you continued) and finally, manage to beat the game.
It was quite an anger-filled trip, but I still considered the Lion King one of my favorite Genesis games.

i think i remember that game... (i have no idea why i was playing it, but i was), and that game was batshit insane with what they expected you to do, especially if it was an actual child playing it.MrMixelPixel said:
Pokemon Yellow. Got a pikachu, made it past the veridian forest went up agains brock, got raped until my party was lv 12 (train on lv 5 caterpie no less). That was pretty rage inducing having to spend 2-3 hours on such bs. Also rock cave, cause i dont like to use flash. You got lucky. The story actually sucked me in and I had to finish it with as many secrets, Aeons, and Ultima weapons as I could get. Every other boss fight was a nightmare, and I literally spent hours grinding to make my characters and equipment stronger to beat the boss (nearly every boss has a unique and annoying strategy).TheKasp said:

First one?, Ninja Gaiden on the NES, took me over a year and hundreds of tries before beating it, also very high honors to Megaman 5, Battletoads (havent be able to beat it to this day), Shinobi (ps2), DMC 3 original edition on highest difficulty setting (nigh impossible), original Metroid, original Zelda, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Dragon Warrior (also rough but mostly because i didnt yet learned to read in english i live in venezuela and i basically learned english word by word dictionary on hand to be able to beat RPGs)
Oh god...
