This is just curiousity getting the better of me.
When my last xbox RROD'd on me i was playing Unreal Torny 3. The screen started to get green & blue lines zipping vertically across my screen. I turned it off thinking it was a one off, when trying to turn it back on.. it wouldn't D:

What game were you playing when your xbox 360 died?

Halo 3. Numerous times.

Yeah, I had the same 360 RRoD twice, but it fixed itself the first time and kept going for another few months.

The demo 360 red ringed playing Guitar Hero. I was showing off in front of people playing GH on expert till the string of Hammer-ons came, and then it red ring'd. Never have I laughed so hard in public.

Unfortunately the store management thought I broke it.

Inb4 Xbox hater trolls. I don't personally own an Xbox since I'm more of a PC gamer, but so far my brother's hasn't RROD'd yet and my PC is still going strong.

You might wanna change it from what you were playing when your Xbox broke down to what you were playing when one of your consoles died, just to widen the range a bit and avoid trolls.

I wasn't playing anything when I RRoDed. I just switched it on and it failed on me as soon as I pressed the On button. I was about to play Gears of War though, if I recall correctly.

My second Xbox was stolen before it could get the RRoD though, although it shouldn't RRoD anyway as it was a free replacement from Microsoft with the Falcon motherboard instead, which has a much better efficiency rate. However, the thieves forgot to take the power cable or the Scart lead, so they can't connect it to anything. They may as well have stolen a lump of concrete for all the use they'll get out of it .

And mine's one from one of the first batches.

Although it does overheat sometimes.

I got the RRoD when playing Halo 3 two months after its release. I was in the middle of a team skirmish and bam! Xbox is dead.

The second time wasn't an RRoD, but it was a graphics card failure that made it look as if I were on acid while playing (pretty fun). It happened while I was playing Fallout 3, back when I still liked it. I had to pay $90 to Microsoft to get it fixed...

2nd Xbox annihilated by a spinning disk through the system shredding the insides.

Some of these people sound really unlucky. I had one of the first model 360s and mine didn't die until about a year later. Then it started freezing after Halo 3 ODST didn't agree with it and I bought one of the MW2 limited edition 360s.

I got it while playing Skate, Bioshock (power went out, that's why) and GTA4 online one day. None of them were fatal though, I turned the Xbox on later and it worked fine.

I've had my 360 for over almost 2 years and haven't had a single problem.
