For every circle of gaming buddies there seems to be a few select games that the group in general agrees is the most fun for local multiplayer. In my case my friends and I always end up playing Super Smash Bros Melee, Call of Duty 4, Kirby Air Ride, TF2 and Left 4 Dead 2.

Sure, we hang out and play other games but if we're having a gaming get together in one basement we usually go with those.

So, what games do your gaming buddies tend to gravitate towards the most?

Well me and one of my friends always end up playing Call of Duty. Though, that is all he ever plays so it makes sense. My other friend and me usually fall back on battlefront 2 at my house at his we usually end up playing poker.

Halo. Always Halo.

What other game allows you to play 4 player splitscreen versus other people online? NONE. Hell, these days it's an achievement just to have any kind of splitscreen.

Depends on whose house I'm at. If it's mine, I take out the 360 that literally only gets used when people are over and play some Forza. All Forza all the time. Maybe something else like Halo of CODs if they brought it along and are tired of losing. If I go to anybody elses it's usually CODS or Halo's. Although recently I've been having a lot of fun with Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 or whatever the actual name is since it's co-op and really difficult, which means a lot less passive aggressive antics after alchohol is consumed.

Sins of a Solar Empire. Nothing like some co-op fleets smashing the snot out of some pathetic cheating AI.

Ratchet and Clank 3 and Ratchet: Deadlocked, though the ps2 servers are down now. I don't now about the multiplayer on the recent HD rerelease.

OT: GTA is always fun to mess about in, but I don't really know about with friends. I'd need to have actually have them before I can find out what they like.

Me and my friends used to play Mario Party games often, when there were 4 of us there. When it was just me and a certain friend we always played Legend of Zelda. It took us nearly two years to beat Ocarina of Time together. We got to the final scene, and then suddenly my gamecube froze, and the screen "An error has occured" came up. Our rage was great. Or sometimes we just played Sonic. Though I always won. It's embarrassing. On Adventure 2 Battle on the 2 player screen, the score is 368 - 0. I have never been beaten at Sonic. We also used to play Smash Brothers. Those were some good days spent. I never speak to those friends anymore.

Pretty much now League of Legends.

Used to be TF2 (break-time), getting back into Borderlands (not everybody beat it), and trying to see if the boyz wants some Dead Island (sale) and Payday (sale).

We don't fall back on anything. We all get kinda bored and tend not to do things together because of it.

We also can't play anything competitive with each other, one of us always greatly outclasses the others.

...Yup, great group of guys, us.

Similar from me, I just play TF2 so much for a month after not playing it for a while like "WHY DID I STOP PLAYING THIS AMAZING GAME?!?!" then after that month I look at it in my steam library and just think "ugh". Then it's LoL for about 3 months with friends, maybe with a few new games that are interesting.

Video games... Wiseguy. :p
Well I don't really play videogames with my friends, videogames are my solo event to cherish.
Only game I really play with my friends is Nazi Zombies on BlackOps as I know these two girls who have only just discovered it as they really haven't played videogames before and they've got a bit addicted to it. They really really suck though so I just watch and occasionally solo that in-front of them to show them what they're meant to be doing. They don't take in any of the tactics I show them however.
