Pajama Sam! The greatest lunchbox wielding hero of all time. Fighting the darkness and sorting socks like a real hero.

YEAH! Pajama god-damn Sam! Oooh...the memories. It just rushes back.
The characters and music were just so memorable. You had your insecure talking rowboat, your badass mine-cart, and all but one of the trees were assholes.
After Pajama Sam, of course came Spy Fox.
And the good thing about Humongous Entertainment adventure games is that many of them had randomized puzzles that required you to do different things each play-through.

Of course, there were a lot of different games back then. Commander Keen, Wolfenstien 3d, Raptor, Hugo's Adventures, Lemmings...oh! And Blackthorne. ("Here. Take this potion, Brother."---"Thank you, friend. *BANG*")

Edutainment also had a lot: Jumpstart 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grade, Math Blaster, Math Workshop...

For some reason, I also played a bunch of obscure games as a kid (no one ever mentions them when talking about old PC games):
Ken's Labyrinth
Major Stryker
Nightmare 3d (FPS spin-off of Hugo's Adventures)
Zool
Claw
Syndicate

I never owned a console before the PS2, so my gaming nostalgia catalog is based on the wonderful world of DOS
I played both Commander Keen and the shareware version of Death Rally (which has just been released as a full windows version!) like a million times. The same with Raptor: Call of the shadows.

Mechassault 2! Woop woop!
Also, spyro games for ps1, pokemon yellow + gold + ruby, zelda a link to the past, oracle of ages, oracle of seasons and minish cap were big games from my childhood.

I remember lying on my belly on the floor of our house's attic in 4th or 5th grade with my best mate trying to compress the C: drive of an old computer we had so I could install Red Alert. If I remember correctly, we had Rage Against the Machine and Blink 182 playing in the background, so that gives you an idea what my childhood was like.

Croc 2 on PC. Ah, the memories.

Edit: Forgot to mention Donkey Kong and Super Smash Bros for the N64!

Oh, Lord, If there was one game, One game I could revive, It would have to be Spyro, that game influenced me so.
I'm with you on this one, I still hold up Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon as one of the best 3d platformers of all time.

Beavis & Butthead for the Sega Genesis...also Ren & Stimpy for the Genesis as well. I would play those games over and over again.

Two words: Incredible Machine. I remember it came with my dad's work computer, and I used to sneak into his home office to play it. It was a very simple, very addicting puzzle game.
