Well I always thought Xenoblade Chronicles and the Last Story were overlooked by many purely because it was on the Wii which is a shame as they were easily two of the best games from last gen and gave a massive kick up the arse for RPG type games. Mario Galaxy was also amazing but I dont think that was underated or overlooked I feel there was less underated and overlooked games on the GC because Nintendo had not made an effort to distance themselves from core gamers there. Little Kings Story was also overlooked by many it was a great game but I have no idea why they never used the Wii remotes functions as in that game it would have made perfect sense.

I'll come out and say Far Cry Vengeance was some of the stupidest FPS fun I have had. If you can get it for cheap and you enjoy a good laugh get that game. Sure, it's in the so bad it's good category. But it OWNS that category pretty hard XD

no mention of the 2 Baten Kaitos for GameCube? Monolith Soft's first two games. While the first Baten Kaitos aged poorly, the second one, Origins is a fantastic game. The story, the characters, the world, the battle system for Origins blew my mind away even after 7 years of it's original release. It has everything a good JRPG needs.

As for Wii, Pandora's Tower is probably the most underrated game... It was overshadowed by Xenoblade and Last Story from the big three of Operation Rainfall and it's sad, because it's not even from the same genre. It's not the most innovative title, since it's practically a mash up of Zelda, Shadow of the Colossus and God of War and has it's flaws, but the emotional story and awesome dungeons and boss fights easily make up for it.

The Wii Edition of Resident Evil 4 is, in my opinion, the definitive version. There's also the fantastic Endless Ocean games, which are basically the only reason I still have a Wii, that, and it only sells for £30..

Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System is a game that I played quite a lot on my Gamecube that not many people seem to talk about. It's a third-person shooter where you play as a robot named Glitch who uses a wide variety of weapons through a quite substantial single-player campaign to overthrow a hostile robot empire. It had a fun multiplayer mode as well.

The game is/was a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it to anybody whenever given the chance.
I had and loved that game but my all time favourite GC game is Gotcha Force, it was such a rare gem.

As for the Wii, that would be Xenoblade Chronicle. That's the only game that I turely ever loved a JRPG.

A lot of the ones I was going to mention got brought up already. Xenoblade Chronicles, Metal Arms, Starfox Assault, Crystal Chronicles... all criminally under-appreciated games. More than anything I found that the Gamecube had the best multiplayer library out of that generation.

One that I haven't seen mentioned yet is Custom Robo. It's an arena fighting game where you customize your robot's parts, weapons, etc... giving you a huge amount of variation in playstyles. It was almost as fun putting together parts to figure out what strategies you could use with them as it was actually playing the game.

Yeah. I frequently regret not asking for games like Cubivore and Gotcha Force before they became rare and expensive

I'll second Baten Kaitos. I actually perfered the original, but I found both to be the premiere RPG content on the GC. And for all the guff Silicon Knights got (and rightfully so) for ALL of their other content, 2 SK games on the 'Cube were OUTSTANDING. Their "update" of Metal Gear Solid wound up being the best game of the Solid series, and Eternal Darkness was holding up as the last "good" survival horror game I had played all the way until Amnesia.
