Hello again everyone, it's good to almost be back.

Now, seeing as my last exam for this semester is next week and after that I'll have a few weeks off, I'd like to take this opportunity and prepare the next sexy-cast, which might even become a two parter.

The topic at hand:

LGBT issues, though seeing as we have active and vocal trrans-members on this site, it might even be possible to do one cast dealing with LGB issues and another one for transsexualism, which I'd welcome, simply because, as far as I understand, transsexualism is filed under the "LGBT" banner but still somewhat different, so if enough people are interested I'd be up for hosting two casts in close succession.

Now, seeing as this is a "COMMUNI"cast, I'll need YOUR input, yes YOURS, Ashley.

I'll need participants (please no more than 4 participants per cast) and I'll need talking points, issues and questions the community (aka YOU) would like to see discussed.

As always: Please do not start a debate in this thread, this is a thread for suggestions only, there is no need to argue. If a suggestion is deliberately inflammatory, there is a good chance that it WON'T end up in the cast and I'll ask for mod-support to keep this thread clean.

Last but not least: A disclaimer:
I will take on the role of host and moderator, I'll introduce the subject at hand and the specific points up for discussion, and leave the meat of the debate to my participants, though I'll try to keep the discussion on topic and stop them from going too far of the rails.

I will not tolerate insults, derogatory language or uncivil behaviour on my cast. If you want to start that shit, it won't be on my cast.

The rest is up to you so make me proud.

(I will keep this updated with a list of the participants and a list of possible subjects for the discussion)

Also: Sky14, the spidermod, will make a triumphant return as my co-moderator.

List of potential participants:
LGB-part of the cast:
evee
Hazy
skarkrow
Darken12
Dead Century

UPDATE: THE LGB-PART IS FULL, NOW WE JUST NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR SUBJECTS TO DISCUSS.

Still looking for willing participants for the trans part.
Update: List of possible participants for the trans-part:

Abomination.

Come on guys, we can do better than that, still need participants for the trans-cast, otherwise this will turn into a talk-show...

First points up for discussion:
What ignorance have you had to deal with regarding LGBT and sexism and how did you deal with it?
This includes people who have been indirectly involved, like hearing someone say an ignorant comment and how you reacted.

Did others treat you differently when you came out? Do you (as a straight person) have reservations about the LGBT group? (as in "I'm a bit weird around lesbians because I think they might fancy me, eww")
Do you personally think there's still discrimination in the modern world in regards to LGBT achieving a high status job? Or do they struggle to find a job at all?

Do LGBT people deserve more rights, or do you think this is the best we;re going to get? What other rights do they deserve?

UPDATE: Subject-list for the Trans-cast, courtesy of eevee:
Do you think the treatments and operations should be done on the NHS? (or whatever health care you have).
How do you think people would react to their tax money going towards these operations?
Is the cost now far too expensive or just about right for what they do?
Did you receive any help? Is there any/enough help groups for transgenders to go to? We're you able to discuss your feelings freely?

What questions are you sick of hearing?

What do you think of the recent decisions in most toy shops to stop gender segregation? I'll post links when I get home about this.

Tech Stuff:
Required hardware: A good mic, PC, etc.
Software: We will use Ventrilo and Audacity, everyone records their own audio and uploads it so Fiz can work her magic.

I would put my name forward for this depending on the day/time we do it, I'm actually very passionate about this subject, I'll try not rant for hours though :p

I've tried adding questions that both sides can answer, assuming we'll have both LGBT and not in the cast. Hopefully it won't start any arguments either.

Sure thing, you're in.
Also: good talking points, I'll make sure to include them in the suggestion list.

Could I add a question sort of related to what EeveeElectro said about dealing with ignorance?

I understand of course that ignorance isn't an excuse for rudeness or being insulting but would you forgive someone for not understanding certain terminology in regards to LGBT particularly in regards to transsexualism or do you feel people should know the details a bit more?

You probably would have covered this anyway as answer to EeveeElectro's question but I thought I'd mention it regardless.

If you tell me what time you'll be doing the casts I can see which one I can fit in. I'd prefer the LGB cast though.

Sounds cool. I'd put my name in, but I don't think I have anything of value to add to the discussion. As a heterosexual male, my only remotely LGBT related experience is the local gay bar. And I only went there because the people are friendly, the drinks are cheap, and they play decent music. I'll probably take a listen whenever you finish recording and upload it though.

I recall volunteering myself to be a part of this about 5 months ago good sir. As a resident apathetic bisexual male witha more moderate and distanced view of gender politics I would like to join in, though I lack much of the specialist knowledge many others have.

Sou you're an average Joe?
We got the LGB-side of the cast down it seems, so why not get an average-citizen normal-guy on there as well?

Expressing fervent desire to be a part of this, if there's still room in the GB part.

Sure thing, you're in.

Which means that we got enough members for the LGB-part of the cast.

Anyone want to discuss the T-part?

Hmm, I have a suggestion for a question you could pose to any transsexuals that take part in this, particularly male to females. What are their views on trans pornography? Especially the kind referred to as "shemale porn" (not using the term shemale as a derogatory term, it's what the actual porn genre is called). Do they find it demeaning or disrespectful? Or do they find it useful to bring transsexualism to people's eyes and attention? I first became aware that transsexualism existed through porn, so I think it can be useful in that regard.

I find it an interesting and relevant point to bring up, at least.

Well, alright, sure. If you think an average joe normal guy would balance it out. What programs do I need? Vent, skype?

Looks like you've got the everyman role filled. I would be interested as well given the time I lived in Thailand and the relationships I formed with the trans individuals who lived there.

Problem is I have no idea what time this will be occuring as, living in New Zealand, my schedule does not often match up with those of America.
