I loved the PC Call of Duty and its expansion pack to death but I fell out of the series after beating the second game. It lost its appeal to me for some reason.

Another game was Shadow of the Colossus. Breath-taking atmosphere, artistry, and adequate gameplay but I lost interest with it after I started playing Guitar Hero.

WoW: Got to level 18, haven't touched an MMORPG since.
FFX: Got to somewhere near the end, realised my stats were crap and gave up...
RE1(gamecube remake): Just realised two weeks ago that I'd been playing/restarting/hating the game on hard difficulty and not easy.

RE4. No zombies, not survival horror, there was just no tension in the game. Gave up very soon after that strange little Leprechaun person that was, I guess, the 'bad guy' appeared. I mean...no zombies. WTF? Everyone loves zombies, you just cant go wrong with 'em. Leons hairdo was also fairly offputting.

Must be COD 4. Everyone that I know got WAY TOO into it, and so me and my friends stopped playing.

World of Warcraft. My social life increased so I gave it up in favor of the pub rather than LFGing. Best choice I've made recently.

I had 3 level 20's on guild wars, but after a smal internet crisis, i just never playe it agina... And after kingdom hearts become more difficult to follow(storywise) than metal gear solid, i decided it was time to quit.

Lost Odyssey, I enjoyed it, I really did, but I can't bring myself to finish it...I just don't know why.

In fact, the same goes for Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time, that was a game I loved, but because the final boss kicked my ass up and down so much, I just gave up playing it.

I quit:

Runescape
Guild Wars

Both times because I got hacked and lost everything, got depressed, and deleted my account >.<

And for every other game because I got tired of it.

I stopped playing Metal Gear Solid 4, because I was getting close to the end. It's probably my favorite game; I literally bought a PS3 to play it.
But I stopped playing for 2 reasons:
I didn't want Snake to die.
I didn't want the game to end.

The same reason why it took me over a year to get around to watching the last few episodes of Angel.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45.
Absolutely amazing First Person Shooter - Best one I've ever played. SO much better than run and gun lameness of COD4 and other games largely considered good.
Unfortunately I don't play it anymore, because the player base has moved on, and theres probably only about 70 people regularly playing it, spread across about 2-3 servers (well, when I last went on). Its immersive, and requires more effort than other FPS', as weapons have semi-realistic ballistics and handling - much moreso than other FPS' I've played.

MUST... RESIST... SPOILERS!

I didn't want the game to end.
Well the end goes for approximately twelve lifetimes, so you're probably ok.

I've abandoned Planescape: Torment, shamefully. I like to think it's because it runs on my dusty old PC, but it's really just a bit too slow-paced.

Oh, this list is huge:
RE4 (got bored),
God of War 2 (that final corridor before the end boss is a slap in the face),
DMC (didn't think it was good at all really),
Okami (got bored as well),
God Hand (so much work, funny game though),
FF VIII, X, X-2 (annoying gameplay, boring gameplay, awesome gameplay but just annoying in general),
OniMusha 3 (finished the two before it though),
Red Faction (moving on),
Wild Arms 3 (tried picking up jrpg's again and failed),
Zelda: Link to the Past (yeah, I never finished it, okay?),
GTA 3 & Vice City (3d GTA = not my GTA, I didn't bother with SA or IV),
Commander Keen 5 (I distinctly remember never finishing this for some reason),
ES4: Oblivion (I'm not alone, I know),
Tekken 5 (I haven't got all the characters unlocked, became bored with it),
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (same as above, but the reason is because the end-bosses are bastards),
Donkey Conga (to hell with rythm games, never bothered with guitar hero and when confronted with Rock Band I remembered why, I'll sing though),
Ikaruga (oh screw this),
Sonic 1,2,3 (I just replayed Streets of Rage 2 a few more times instead),
Battletoads (need I expand on this?)

There's gotta be loads I missed, but this is what popped into my head right now.

Harvest Moon for the GBC. I couldn't take it after I found the mermaid on the island.
And could have mermaid babies.

It would be a very very long list. I rarely finish a game these days now work and family get in the way... (sob)

I still haven't had time to finish:

Medieval II
GTA 4
Assassin's Creed (though it gets repetitive, I still want to finish it)
Sins of a Solar Empire (on a custom game with over 500 planets)

and I never get sick of Master of Orion II

I'm sure there are plenty of others, I just don't have as much time to play anymore.

EDIT: Oh... and I never finished FF7. :( *shame*
