And What's with you signing your posts with "A Procrastinator", Stompy? If you procrastinate, how come you're so prompt in posting?
I can answer that two ways, Anarchemitis (so did not copy/paste your name...):
I procrastinate by being on The Escapist Forums, instead of doing school work (I have tests coming up) and other necessities in life; and
I was particularly touched by Russ's article, ' The Orange Juice Principle [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/smile_nod/4635-Smile-and-Nod-The-Orange-Juice-Principle]', and wish to, well, I don't know what. I just like the article; felt it was relevant, so, you could say this is my homage. And not blatant advertising for the article...

- A procrastinator, who should currently be studying for his Science and Commerce tests

Edit: This could also be attributed to me having school holidays.
Edit Edit: Hey, wait, this means I'm noticed...

When I could stop by a friend at a random point of the day to find that they were bumming out on the couch or playing video games, instead of working, studying, engaged in other things.
When I could spend all day slacking off, knowing I'd pass exams anyway instead of working to pay rent every day.
When the people around me weren't joined at the hip with their boy/girlfriend, didn't talk about wine or politics all the time, and could go on after 1am instead of having to move because of early morning appointments.
When giggling at the 'duty' when people pronounce it as 'doodie' was still allowed.

All you people complain about feeling old, I feel young :p

I miss the good ol' days when we sacrificed virgins to appease our gods. That was fun.
Yes, but now, there are more virgins, increasing the virgin:slut ratio...

"Uh... girls, girls, what are you doing with those sharp objects... No....No...NOOO!"

I miss the good ol' days when the Canucks won sometimes...
Hear hear! The Gino Odjick/Captain Kirk days! None of this... grinding, defensive, boring stuff that we used to make fun of teams like New Jersey for playing.

I miss the old days, before whiny pubescents had the reins of the pop-culture zeitgeist, when Yoshi's Story could be played without excessive guilt, when "casual games" didn't exist, when fads emerged in card form, when connecting to the internet made amusing gleeping blarrghing sounds...

I miss the days when you could feel sad about something and not be called an emo.

That term is heavily overused.

I miss the good old days when Hollywood wasn't bringing old action heroes back for another round (except Indy).

...when kids weren't acting like complete assholes.

...when people my age had good role models, not this Paris Hilton-Britney Spears BS.

...when media based off of video games was good (Sam & Max).

...when there was only three expansion packs to the Sims 2.

...when game reviewers didn't have their heads completely up their asses and knew which games were only offering fun and not a revolution.

...when walking wasn't considered 'lame'.

...when the US had competent leadership.

...when the US wasn't completely reviled by everyone and their mother.

...when "Two Girls, One Cup" meant that two girls were sharing drinking water from the same cup.

I'mnot sure when you were alive, but I'm sure whenever it was there was some kind of war going on with germany..... (joking)

I miss decent cartoons.
I miss being funny. Bloody hellfire, but I've become fucking boring recently.
I miss when I could read 'Biggles' and not be chastised for being childish.
I miss a time when I could actually watch a war movie without wishing the Germans were winning OR being pissed off that there were no Britishers in it.
I miss decent lego. Lego these days is mostly franchise crap, though they've come up with some nice stuff recently.
I miss action movies that didn't feel the need to moralise or be hyper-realistic (though I quite like hyper-realistic)
I miss when playing with toy guns didn't make me feel like a complete berk.
I miss not being so utterly bitter, warped and cynical about everything in general.
I miss not having to play ragby every Saturday.
I miss actually being excited by new videogames.
I miss not having to wear a stupid motherfucking uniform.
I miss having girlfriends
I miss having time to play videogames all the way to the end.
I miss when being an atheist didn't result in my having to prove to stupid Christians that their fucking god does not fucking exist and that even if he did I would refrain from worshipping him.
I miss having timeto consider all life's options.
I miss long sunny days. All it seems I get now is either long or sunny, but never both.
I miss not turning on the news and watching a politician and realising that A) I'd heard it all before, and B) They really are stupid.
