Respond to the sentence "I miss...", and you only have to justify the response if you so choose.

I miss the good old days when Actors (like Gene Kelley) had to be able to sing and dance.
I miss the days when movies where all about new story ideas, adventure and intrigue. Not cussing, lust and horror.
I miss the days of the dime-a-gallon gas prices.

I agree Fire Daemon. Now:

I miss the days when games weren't really noticed by the media and mainstream (around 2000-ish on), so we gamers could game in peace. IMO.

Please, tell me when this mythical era reigned, because from my experiences, people are selfish; always seeking only their needs, regardless of the needs of others. Although, I might just be bitter...

I miss the good ol' days when the internet stayed on the internet.

I miss the good ol' days when TV didn't mean "reality" TV.

@stompy - you're too young to be bitter! At least, that's what people tell me when I state something along the same lines....

I miss the good ol' days when I could travel in the U.S. knowing I had a right to a trial.
I miss the good ol' days when the Canucks won sometimes...

(And Indigo Dingo, when were those days?)

You think 15 is too young to be bitter? You've seen nothing yet...

Oh, and I miss the good ol' days when innocence could be retained past the age of 5...

I miss the last weeks of highschool. Highschool generally sucked, but those last few weeks you knew you were wrapping up a major part of your life and moving on to a whole new adventure.

I miss actors who are epic mega-stars. Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman. Maybe it's only because we see them looking back, but it seems there are few young actors who will become legends.

I miss the days when I didn't care about sugar, protein, and fibre contents in foods.

I miss the days when a console could get knocked off a coffee table, spilled on, and then stepped on, and still work perfectly.

I miss the days when everyone was happy and joyful to be alive and just enjoying themselves. And not just sitting on computers and posting on a forum thinking to themselves(and therefore making themselves as such)that they were incredibly cynical. Whatever happened to happiness?
Instead of roasting Jericho, we should say "Sometimes you don't get ideas working the best the first time" or "Thanks for the game; the industry thanks you for the effort, but it didn't do much".
Don't criticize this opinion, simply meditate on it. Don't refute why in real life this kind of thinking wouldn't work ([sarcasm]thank you very much, beurocracy?[/sarcasm]) but instead, think of how true it should be.

Hey, I am cynical in real life. Of course I also put a brave face on things and work at happiness so I'd be posing if I acted cynical here.
As such:
I miss the good ol' days when I could go down to the park and play soccer with my neighbourhood friends.
I miss the good ol' days when I actually got to know my neighbourhood geography. Now whenever I leave the house it's to go somewhere not anywhere.
*sigh* good times.

I miss when making a friend was as simple as sharing your crayons.

I miss never getting my period. You boys are lucky. It's not just that it sucks, but that it sucks regularly and on a schedule.

I miss when getting something I wanted was as easy as being EXTRA annoying to daddy.

I miss believing I could be a rock star when I grew up. Or a superhero, or an acrobat, or whatever I felt like that day.

I miss the good ol' days when a few hectares of forest was a jungle for me which I could explore all day long.

I miss the good ol' days when I could eat a whole bag of crisps without feeling guild/nervousness about my weight

I miss the good ol' days of sitting next to my brother when he played games on the PC to draw maps (no auto mapping function back then)
