They're alright I suppose but I think he should have just stuck with Blur, Park Life & Song 2 and what not.

Demon Days was the only album of theirs I liked, the rest of the stuff that they came out with just didn't sound oh so good.

I listen to them frequently, and enjoy the hell out of it. Plastic Beach also happens to be one of their best albums.

Hahaha, I'm listening to them right now as I saw this topic, so yes I do.

I loved Demon Days, it was amazing and my favourite. But I recently bought D-Sides and I didn't like it at first, but after listening to some of the 'original' songs (i.e NOT the remixes) I realized that I really liked it as well. I was thinking of buying plastic beach but the samples on itunes all seemed pretty 'meh'.

I listened to them for a bit (a full 3 minutes) and just thought they were "bleh"

I don't get the big deal with them.

What song may I ask?
Pretty sure I listened to a few off that Feel Good Inc album or whatever album that song was on.

I have everything of the Gorillaz, D-Sides, G-Sides and even Monkey. Looking at the choises of Plastic Beach I saw a standart edition and a special edition. I thought: Meh, what's so special about it? But then the standart edition says on the cover: 'Are you sure you don't want the special edition?' DAMN YOU, MARKETING!

Well, I'm not fond of Stylo. I don't like the beat that much. I think the text is like another love song to attract more people. The animation looked good as always, but it made little sence.

The album was dissapointing at first, but after a while I got used to it. White Flag is okay. I like Super Fast Jellyfish too. And the Plastic Beach song has a nice melody.

Overall the first album is still the best, I liked everything! I guess they were a little more experimental with it. Plastic Beach's songs are based on the name. That was their inspiration and so the creativity was limited.

I never really had a lot of time for them until plastic beach, I've just been listening to Melancholy Hill on repeat for the last 40 minutes.

I never understood why so many of my friends loved it back in the days of Gorillaz, then later again with Demon Days. I thought it was crap. Then about a week before Plastic Beach came out I randomly stumbled upon Feel Good Inc. on a Youtube video and instantly fell in love with it, listening to it about 100 times during the next few days :D Now Gorillaz is #2 on my Last.fm. All of their albums have songs that I love the shit out of, and others that I can't really be bothered with, but I don't really like their first album that much. Demon Days and Plastic Beach, however, are MADE OF WIN.

Also, it's just "Gorillaz", not "the Gorillaz". Just thought I'd point that out.

I only have demon days but got to say they are a good band, and I hope they continue to give us great tunes. I actually may go have a listen to their new album now, see if I want to buy it.

I warmed up to SOME songs of Plastic Beach, but i prefer the previous two albums and "B-Sides".
Plastic Beach is a bit TOO Hip-Hop/RnB for me.

Demon Days, taken as a whole, is still the best.

But to be fair, Albarn's Little Big Music Project does deliver new styles and new sounds with every new Album, wich is more than most bands do.
And even though i don't like Plastic Beach that much, the next Album could already be a perfect fit for my tastes.

I recently added Plastic Beach to my iTunes... but I haven't gotten around to giving it an actual listen. Though I have enjoyed their previous albums, quite a bit.
