So, Clarkson, Hammond and May have really got the ball rolling now, it's been 5 episodes on Amazon Prime and I think that should be enough to form an opinion on the show.

Now, it's not the most highbrow entertainment, a lot of it is just them being the same blokes as ever. But, there are moments of genius, May's history lesson on the contest between Ford and Ferrari in the last episode was a work of brilliance and was a really interesting insight into the racing side of the motoring industry.

So, with that, what does everyone think of it so far?

From what I gather, Ice Cream is gay. At least that settles the age old question! I never had a chance!

It's Top Gear in all but name. Sure, there are more differences than just the name, but it has all the elements that made Top Gear so enjoyable to watch. As opposed to the show that still bears the Top Gear name.

I saw that this morning... last night... night work makes you forget time of day, anyways I saw it and thought, "was... was he trying to be funny? Was the a joke?" because if it was a joke it was a poor weak ass one. If not, then the guys an asshat.

Took a few episodes to get going but it is starting to feel like old Top Gear. The only negative for me so far the in studio stuff seems too scripted and stilted that it doesn't flow very well.

Well, 2 parter Christmas/New Year special is coming up this weekend. Yeah I thought the icecream joke was a bit flat but that's partly because they ran on and on with it, at first it would have been kind of a "what?" moment but dragging it on that long just wore out what little levity it brought.

You can definitly see the ludicrous budget they have to work with though, they've done a lot with it this series.
