Pretty much every Rare game before they were bought by Microsoft. Oh and Ape Escape. My favourite PSX game.

We need a remake of Banjo-Kazooie.

But we need it to appeal to the 15-18 year old demographic so an M-rated, gritty reboot is in order. I know, let's set it in a greyish-brown dystopic city with lots of violence and drugs rampant throughout. To make this more realistic, let's make Banjo an ex-cop with a drug problem who shoots first (get it?) and only asks questions after all the bad guys are dead. Kazooie should be a wise-cracking girl selling her body to take care of her young daughter and make ends meet but that doesn't dampen her positive outlook on life. Gruntilda is the head of a corrupt private security corporation that is cleaning up the streets in a monstrous manner.

When a drug deal falls apart leaving Bottles dead and Kazooie's daughter kidnapped (why? I dunno, throw together some mumbo-jumbo... hey, he can be the kidnapper! Booya!), Banjo and Kazooie team up to save her and find out who's behind it. The trailer can hint that Gruntilda and her Jinjo minions are behind the whole thing!

Cut and paste the plot twists from other games, throw together some last minute script changes by a struggling author, hire some actors last-minute and advertise the shit out of it and BINGO! 300,000 copies sold in the first week with massive profits.

Pirates of the Caribbean for the original Xbox needs a next-gen upgrade, either remake or sequel. Just some way to fix the controls and deal with the bugs.

For those who don't know this was a open world pirate game from Bethesda (the makers of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls). You had the option to basically do what ever you wanted; smuggling, piracy, escorting merchants, trading, raiding settlements, even a few assassination missions. The bulk of the gameplay took place on the water and incorporated a nice variety of ship types from small but speedy luggers, to huge 400 man battleships.
There was also the on-foot combat that was actually rather well done and featured a nice array of swords and pistols.

The only real problems with the game were the controls that really didn't work very well on-foot(it was an early xbox title and the industry was just learning what to do with the analog sticks) and a vast array of bugs that could do anything from freezing, lose party-members (Oh I forgot to add that you could recruit officers in taverns who would act as your party or even be given control of their own ship) or even corrupt save files.

Other things that could be fixed in a reboot would be the ability to customize your character's appearance (at least their clothes), and add some more animations (for example, you can gamble and drink in taverns but it's all done through text boxes, you don't see your character do anything).

Sorry that was a bit long, but it really is an awesome game that deserves a reboot or sequel or something.

I would definately love to see a fully voiced and fully realized remake of the original Grandia. If you've never heard of the Grandia series, it has one of the most epic battle systems, which is also revered to be the best. I highly recomend the third Grandia, which is on the PS2, if you're interested. :D
This guy *points upwards* wins at RPG trivia.

I loved grandia 2 & 3 for the PS2... never played the first one though.

the series is absolutely badass.

Shadow of the Colossus. I just want to see that game remade with better graphics. It is such a beautiful game and seeing it on the PS3 would be amazing.

Seconded. I love that game and I want a Jak 2 with better graphics. Pleeeeeeaaseee, Naughty Dog, make that. I'll love you even more if you do. Insomniac made a Ratchet and Clank for the PS3, when does Jack and Daxter come to the PS3?

Yeah, I saw that in the E3 blurbs and it's actually what got me thinking about the game again. Unfortunately, judging from the videos I've seen, it seems to be focusing on the Action more than the RPG. For one thing, it sounds like the plot involves getting a mythical ship and gradually repairing it over the course of the game, which removes the freedom of choosing your ship, which, in turn, suggests that actions like smuggling (which in PotC worked best with a smaller faster vessel) wont be available.

And actually, PotC:AotD looks more like Fable than anything else, while the other PotC game was more akin to morrowind.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take a look at it when it come out and keep tabs on it in the meantime, it just doesn't look like it's shaping up to the game I was hoping for.
