Snake kills Boss gets betrayed by Eva and goes home a hero... I nearly cried...

Damn I sound ill-masculine right now...

It's okay to cry to that. It's like when old yeller died. Your no less of a man for crying in that situation, I'm sure naked snake was crying rivers on the inside.

I must say that is one of the most respectable pictures and anyone who hasn?t played mgs3 doesn't know why that picture brings sad...Sad memories to us mgs fans... *Sigh*

Half life 2 creeped the hell out of me as soon as I heard Gman's voice
first time I was ever edgy after playing a game

Legend of the dragoon, the bad guy was cut in 2, the moon exploded, all the heros (say for 2) flew out on their awesome dragon wings

I have never met another person who has even heard of that game. I feel good now. But my favorite video game ending was Breath of Fire 3. The feeling of accomplishment mixes with the lingering doubt of maybe truly needing that god creates a terrific mix of triumph and apprehension.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

Chaos dies and everyone is sent to a beautiful green field, the characters start disappearing in descending order of their game number (tidus (10), Zidane (9), etc). Tidus and his crystal glow blue, "Gotta go, huh." and takes a running dive into the lake just like he did off the airship at the end of FF10. Don't know if the other characters exited in the same way they did in their game since I haven't played any before 10 (apart from Crisis Core), but it was awesome.

Final Fantasy 10's ending was awesome too.

Props to Prototype as well.

Boss, lest we forget your pure amazing sacrifice.

Sad...yes, but if it hadn't have happened then the events on Shadow Moses never would have occurred. She died to bring us a great game series.

No one whipping out Brütal Legend on this one? Really? Found it quite the awesome ending myself. But my absolute favorite so far has to be Psychonauts, damn that was one nicely stitched together ending <3.
