Ocarina of Time's combat system
Ocarina of Time's puzzles
Ocarina of Time's selection of weapons/items
Ocarina of Time's clever puzzles
Ocarina of Time's brilliant music
Ocarina of Time's open world
Ocarina of Time's story
Ocarina of Time's amazing level design
Ocarina of Time's immersion

Well, those components would contribute to a near flawless game for sure. Oh wait, they already did.

Legend of Zelda

it has a dude in slightly homoerotic tights rescuing a princess...

Bioware's Storytelling + Bethesda's Interactivity

Oh man, I could not agree more. I'd say that the the greatest game in the world has yet to be created, but that when it is it will be either a Bethesda game or, failing that, a Bioware game. I have yet to find a game in which I have become more deeply immersed than either Oblivion or Fallout 3.

No, it was close. But it put in that god forsaken water temple... Dear GOD! I have NIGHTMARES about that place!

OT:
A system somewhat like the masks in MM
Story as good as TWEWY
ONE ENDING.
Bosses as colorful as No More Heroes
Online play as fun as Bioshock 2
3rd Person
Zelda level music
The ending would need to be as epic as the final fight in TTGL+ the TWEWY ending.
Need to have a secret ending that's hard, but not too hard, to get.
A flight system like Dark Void
Puzzles like OoT
The story would need to leave you guessing until you finish the game.
Even When you finish, there are a few things that don't make sense until the bonus ending
A difficulty system like TWEWY
Combat as cool looking as No More Heroes
And it would need to be creepy by mind fuckery like Higurashi can get.

THAT! Would be the perfect game in my opinion!

Me too, those two have eaten away more hours of my life than I like to admit... hehe

Fallout just pips it for me. Prefer the combat to Oblivion's. Though Cyrodil is sometimes a nicer place to just relax.

Same - so many hours ... good times.

Fallout 3 is my current favourite atm too, but you're right - Cyrodiil is a nicer place: a lot less harsh; returning to it after playing Fallout 3 for a bit I was just happy to be able to step into water without hearing the Geiger counter going off :D

The next Elder Scrolls ( V ) easily has the potential to be one of the greatest games ever made, given Bethesda's current record.

Too true.

I'm hoping for fast travel to and from indoor locations and improved animations.

A V.A.T.S. type melee combat could work great in TES5 too.

Then it should be lovely.
