I love CoD but I wouldn't say it's the greatest as far as whole series goes... IW makes the great ones, the fantastic ones, the unsurpassed ones. While Treyarch makes the garbage, unoriginal, and weak ones.

Personally I would agree, CoD has a rather mixed performance as far as a series goes.

Total War, and it was a knee-jerk word-association with the topic title. Not even close in my view. Elder Scrolls, Civilization, Europa Universalis...all on the radar screen, but not dead center like Total War.

Metal Gear in my opinion.

I know most people may hate the story but if you played it from the start it all makes sense in the end.
Loved every moment of those games, and i teared up when i went back to Shadow Moses in MGS4.
Kojima really blows my mind sometimes
