Reminds me of the Sims. Anyway it is a pretty origional idea, or at least one that hasn't been made popular enough that I've heard of it. I think if done right(with much humour) it could be pretty good.

I don't know about the film part, but the mini-simulation of an entire town with scripting and everything is interesting.

If we could get a convincing simulation of people running around going about their daily business it would also be an AMAZING tool for psychological and sociological research on large scales.

Uniquue and interesting idea though I wouldn't buy it unless I got my hands on a demo and had my mind totally blown which is unlikley to happen as I like have to pause to wipe the blood from my screen every few minutes.
