Just want to point out to all these silly ill-informed peeps that Abe Lincoln was a Sorcerer, not a U.S president. You'd think some yanks would know who were their presidents!

*slow disapproving headshake*

By all-time I assume you mean all countries, past, present and future. In this case I say myself.

I know everyone puts Kennedy up in there top 5 presidents ever, but personally, I feel while he was a great man, and good leader he was never faced with any adversity. FDR, Lincoln, and Washington are often ranked in the top 3 for their leadership during trying times. For example, FDR handled the Great Depression and WWII with skill and determination and due to his presidency, America became a superpower. Lincoln did what no president ever did, by rebuilding a separated nation. Washington handled starting the nation with grace and set precedents for future presidents.

Anyways, my list would probably be:
1. Abe Lincoln
2. FDR
3. George Washington
4. Thomas Jefferson
5. James K. Polk

By the way, if you don't know who Polk is, look him up. Everything he said he was going to do during his campaign, he actually did during his presidency. And the only reason he wasn't elected to office a second time was he hated the job and didn't run.

Also, for the record, I'd put Kennedy somewhere in the top 10.

He was truly a visionary.

EDIT: Oh fine, just to be on topic: Uhhh...Abe Lincoln.
There.
Abe Lincoln set the precident of a president ignoring the constitution. Everything Bush did, was based on Lincoln. Lincoln set budgets and spent money without the approval of Congress. He ordered the suspention of the right to trial and imprisioned thousands without trial. It can also be argued that the way he handled the politics caused the war.

I guess that means you are a Bush supporter eh?
While all of that is true, Lincoln had a cause to do it for, a split nation. What was Bush's cause? Terrorism? You can't fight an ideology. But you are absolutely right about Lincoln during the Civil War. Just, I don't like comparing him to George Bush. Bush wanted to "save" Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. But whatever, he hopefully will never be anyone's favorite president.

The president (I think he was officially referred to as a chairman) of the Pokemon Fan Club in Vermilion City, I mean, all you do is listen to him ramble for a while and he gives you a coupon for a free bike, SCORE!

Hmm Washington gave up power after 8 years which was a HUGE deal (look to Central and South America to see what happened when executives dont give up power...Democracy falls apart).

Jefferson doubled the size of the country.

Teddy Roosevelt is my personal favorite for various reasons.

However I have to give the nod to the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln. Considering all he had to deal with and how he succeeded at these challenges, I have to give the nod to him but the other three Presidents on Mount Rushmore are near the top too.

Frank Roosevelt, Abe Lincoln, JFK, Jack Nicholson, Reagan was pretty good, and with any luck Obama will come through.
