Rape. That's just something that is punishable by death in my book. Of course I'm a firm believer in the death penalty anyway.

Rape. I can forgive most crimes if they have a real reason but rape is just disgusting because it has no real reason. You are willing to destroy someone's life just for a few moments of pleasure that $$50 could get you at the local brothel.
To me that just displays not only a total lack of concern for anyone but yourself but also a display of weakness that you need to dominate someone like that to feel better about yourself.

Then again I am against all crimes without reason. Even shit like people that make computer viruses. They do it for what? No reason other than destroying other peoples property. These people should honestly be put to death.
But what if you don't have a brothel in your city and the prositutes are dangerous because they often try to rob you.

A sin in a thelogical viewpoint can only be considered by a person of a religious belief. In that perspektive a sin does not exist if you do not belive in a god.
However there are crimes that in a philosophical viewpoint that can be considered sins against fellow amn where as the typical answer would be murder.

I however will take it a little more philosophical and say that the greatest crime (in a way sin if you're religious) is to deny a person a right.

A murder is to deny someone the right to live, thus the crime I mention takes that up. But it goes far deeper than that.

Sin is an arbitrary word used to describe an act against the laws of God.
I'm an atheist, so I don't believe sin can exist.
Sin is a violation of morality. You don't believe in morality?
"Morality" is defined by where you were born and in what conditions you were born. You might say killing is bad now, but if you were born in unfavorable conditions and you had to fight and even kill for food, killing wouldn't seem that bad. But if there was food for everybody and you would NOT have to fight over it you would deem killing for survival has bad. Again, your own morality is defined by the conditions you were born into, so there's no such thing has a "violation of morality" because there's no such thing has morality. It's simply your survival instincts telling you what to do.

To add something to the topic: Personally I deem rape has the worst thing a human being could go through.
Morality is an objective set of terms, whether you're willing to admit it or not. Right and wrong do exist. Killing is wrong. It's incredibly simple. The only reason someone would want to muddy such an absolute is because they intend to violate morality. I know that's impossible for you to fathom. You've trained your mind to believe that there is no such thing as absolutes. But, "sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken." Telling this to yourself doesn't change the fact.

And, please, go ahead and say that this is an elementary train of thought. I'll giggle at it.
Again, morality depends on the conditions you were born into.

We have food, we have good conditions to live in. We don't need to kill over food, we don't need to fight for materials to create a decent place to live in. But if you were born in a time where food was scarce and you'd have to fight over it to survive, maybe even kill, you'd do that.

So your own concepts of right and wrong change whenever you need to survive. Killing will not seem wrong to you when you need to survive. If our own right and wrong's change depending on the conditions we were born into, how can you say "morality" exists? How can you say it's an "absolute" when it changes depending on the conditions you are born into?

People bring up all the fancy illegal stuff, but the worst legal sin is apathy.
Nothing is worse for humankind as a whole as not caring, it can lead to any of the aforementioned things.

My second highest goes to not putting LAN in starcraft 2

I agree whole heartedly with the above.

Rape is unforgiveable. For me it is the very definition of evil.

I am going to say murder is the greatest sin, and after that is religion, as it is so often used to justify murder.

I could totally stretch my imagination and say, raping someone's corpse while robbing a bank so you can pay for your meth-lab that you make your own children work in.

Realistically, I think murder, the only thing you really have no chance to recuperate from.
nono, raping the corpse of someone you killed while robbing a charitable organization so you can pay for your meth lab that you use enslaved minority children to run while taking the lord's name in vain.
