Our parents have a hell of a lot to answer for really, but perhaps one of the worst hold overs from their time, something they have never addressed and our entire generation has suffered for it.

Who was the better Van Halen lead: Sammy Hagar or David Lee Roth?

I'm a firm believer as controversial as this opinion is (thanks to stupid Lee Rothinists), I'm a Sammy Hagar guy, sure he didn't quite have the panaché or energy of Roth... but dammit.. HE SANG FROM THE HEART!

Definitely David Lee Roth. I'm sorry, but they definitely peaked with Roth, and after he left they weren't as good.

Plus, how can you compare these two?
