Heres a tip: put a fan right above a vent, turn up your air conditioning, turn the fan towards you, sit three feet away from it, get a glass of water with ice in it, play deus ex, pass out from exhaustion, wake up, realize your covered in ice water, die of hypothermia because you covered yourself in water and sat infront of the cold, be revived in the hospital, go back home, deal with your frostbite, repeat until sane.
Oh yeah and the weather here right now is weird... I saw dry lightning the other day, it fried an electrical box in my neigbourhood, a riot ensued, cops ensued, a fire hose ensued, dry lightning came back, ambulances ensued.

I'm not very fond of german trains (2 hours every week to my parents place and back to my place): Air conditioning only works for tempretures up to 30°C. If it gets even one degree hotter it will simply stop working. Same thing with heating: Works until it's -5°C, if it gets colder it will stop working. That's german workmanship for you:
A heating that doesn't work when it's cold and an air conditioning that doesn't work when it's hot...

On Topic: Should my character use german sometimes to increase immersion (like when he's surprised or thinking (with translation of course)) or should he always stick to english?
When I was in Gymnasium (yes, it's called like that in german. No, it doesn't have anything to do with the english gymnasium or gym. It's equivalent would be grammar school) and had my final exams i realized something:
If I learn for a test I'll fuck it up.
That's right,it seems like I'm getting dumber the more I learn.
I had my final exams in 5 subjects: German (written test), maths (written test), physics (written test), English (oral test), geography (oral test).
Now my grades (we have a point system reaching from 0 to 15 points):
German (didn't learn) 10/15
Maths (started learning 2 weeks earlier) 7/15
Physics (started learning 4 weeks earlier) 6/15
English (started learning the same day the exam was) 14/15
Geography (didn't learn) 12/15
Maths and physics were actually up to that point my best subjects with an average of 13/15
(without learning of course)
