Suddenly a host of monks appeared almost as if from nowhere. Weapons draw, but they made no advance, simply studying the newcomers, then vanishing again among the foliage of the large gardens. It was extraordinary in its own way. There wasnt a trace of magic that could be identified, but they moved about in an indistinguishable air. Then a single monk approached and bowed to Kishima and Ryan. Without saying a word he led them into the inner courtyard. Inside several monks trained, went about daily chores, and meditated. This was all done in complete silence. They were brought before O Father. The old man sat, cross legged, eating a bowl of rice. He held up a hand, and the younger monk left them. In the silence, his voice felt somewhat larger than it really was.
"You have come to fix the broken?" he asked, as a test. He wanted to see what they would do.

"You have come to fix the broken?"

Kishima already irritated from being left to wait after a long journey, decided to speed right past the old man's games. "No we have come to break what is fixed." he answered sarcastically, "Of course we have come to fix the broken! And as a note, I would keep my eyes on those ninja monks. I don't like getting surprised like that."

The old man chuckled. "If they had felt threatened by you, they would have let you know."
He stood up and turned to them. Short, and barely looking as if he should even be alive, such was his age and appearance. He smiled at them. "If you seek Kin, he is closer than you think. But first, would one of you kindly provide me the privilege of fighting you?"

He began to step out into the open space, which the monks quickly cleared, taking seats to watch.

" But first, would one of you kindly provide me the privilege of fighting you?"

Kishima whispered to Ryan. "This is all yours. However be careful even though he looks like he just escaped from the old people's home, I wouldn't underestimate him. He's probably highly trained in some sort of Ju-Jitsu or Mu-Tai. If you need help I'll be right here."

"Unless this involves me shooting him, he'd kick my ass. He's all yours."

Kishima whispered back with a bit of anger in his voice, "Fine but when he does kick ups with my head just remember you could have prevented this."

Kishima stepped forward. Smiling he said, "I will fight you, since my companion over here things he might kill you in a fight. State the rules."

"To set rules is to cut off ones tongue. Speak to me how you wish...."
He bowed to him, then gave a friendly nod, letting him make the first move.

"To set rules is to cut off ones tongue. Speak to me how you wish...."

"Damn, monks always speak in riddles." He took a step to the left watching for any sudden moves. The old man really seemed to allow Kishima the first attack. Very well, prepare the blade hands, Ferous to be released on my go

Kishima decided to make his next move count. In a flash he threw one of his smoke bombs towards the old man. As soon as the bomb touched the ground, Kishima pulled out his bow and fired 3 arrows simultaneously in the man's direction. He waited for the smoke to dissipate, waiting to see if the monk was dead.

"Fascinating..." A voice came as the cloud settled. O Father stood holding the arrows in his hand a a neat little bundle. "Ninjitsu... But they are not fond of bows... curious..."
He set down the arrows and slowly walked up to Kishima, making no delusion about his intent, he immediately aimed a strike to his throat.

"The hell..." Kishima saw the man approaching rapidly he quickly dropped his last smoke bomb and jumped back, dropping his bow, just as he was about to get hit. Damn, he's fast maybe if I can grab some of his hair He launched a couple of kunai's towards the man and charged- his hand stretched for the monk's head.

O Father grabbed one of the projectiles in mid flight and used it to deflect another. He dropped it and parried Kishimas grab, only to attempt an arm lock.
"Good, good, rapid strategy adjustment... and quite dextrous... but how is flexibility?" He locked his arm around Kishimas own and swung a haymaker at him, using the angle of the subjugated arm as a blocking tool and forcing him to use the other.

Kishima ducked, dodging the haymaker barely. However this gave Kishima the perfect chance to strike. As he ducked he shouted, "Ferous now!". Blades sprung from underneath his wrists and as he ducked down he turned with his free arm and slashed at the monk's middle section. Hoping to deal a blow or at least release his arm.

O Father simply slide his grip down so he was only grabbing onto Kishimas wrist, then threw his lower half backwards to dodge the blade. Then he gave a hard jerk on his wrist and pulled him towards him, a burst of unseen energy came from his palm straight towards his stomach.

Before Kishima could react he found himself being pulled towards the monk's hand which all of a sudden turned blue. Knowing that he could not escape this as he was moving too quickly Kishima decided to take the man down with him. So as he was jerked forward he bought his blade hand down so that it pointed the monk's stomach. If the monk hit Kishima with the energy palm, then the straight blade will end in the monk's gut, taking him down.

"You propose an interesting move..." O Father said. Relinquishing his grip and standing up straight. He bowed to Kishima. His composure was instantly back to his old self, calm as a hindu cow.
"Thank you for the lesson."

Kishima was surprised. For a second there he thought the monk might actually hit with the energy hand. As the monk released the grip and took a bow, Kishima retracted his blades and did the same.

"No problem and thank you for you know, not killing me and all that.! Kishima said while walking back towards Ryan. As soon as he got close enough he whispered, "And you were afraid to shoot him!"

O Father Sniffed the air again. "But Im not interested in what I think."
He turned and walked back to his seat. "Kin, what are your thoughts?"

One of the monks stood up. Sure enough, in their garb and with a shaved head like theirs, he blended into the crowd seamlessly. He stepped out and began to size Kishima up, his eyes barely flinching, much less blinking.
"He is from the Daggerspell clan, though I dont think he is one of their more zealous members. I see two indicators. His striking style, plenty of force with a strong drive behind it."

He knelt on the ground and looked at their footprints in the dust.
"But it is his quick snap back that interests me. It gives his technique much more power. And it is indicative of a hit and run mentality towards fighting."
He stood up, wiping dust from his hands. "Flexible, possibly.. no, probably ambidextrous. Skilled with a use of rare weapons indicates formalized training. Professional grade. Now this could be any given assassin worth his weight in knives, but..."
He leaned a little to look at the swords Kishima carried.
"I could detect the indistinguishable scent of a particular poison the Daggerspell favor."

Kishima looked astonished towards the man. He was truly surprised to see someone who could find out so much about him just from a glance. Finally Kishima blurted out, "How did you..wow". He shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Never mind that, since I got a question to ask you." he continued, "Are you, what was it again, ah, Nicholas Kin? If you are I have a special note with your name on that will supposedly save the world."
