Seems like kind of a one note joke. Like, I will admit initially laughed when the muppet said "50 bucks for a dick suck", but even by the end of the trailer I was tired of just that same joke.

Maybe I am ruined already but if they wanted to make this joke effectively this needed a lot more edge than this. Also, it needed the self-awareness to more clearly revel not just in the crudeness but also in the childishness of it all. The joke is in any case not going to last for a full movie.

I did like the Ice Cube song.

That was just terrible. I had to look it up to make sure it wasn't just a fake trailer but nope. It's a real trailer for a real movie.

I'd say that the joke (which seems to be various forms of NotMuppets having sex, doing drugs and swearing) didn't even last the entire trailer. I felt like I was watching a bad SNL skit, written by borderline idiot teenage boys that just discovered swearing, and drug and sex jokes.
Personally, I think Robot Chicken did a much better job of making fun of the Muppets in their behind the music skit

Its not the actual Muppets mind you, but still, prepare to get your childhoods ruined.
I'm guessing Meet the Feebles, as Zykon the Lich mentioned, just passed you buy huh?

Oh son, have I got a treat for you:

I always hated the term "ruined my childhood!"

Also did some research after seeing this trailer. Apparently this film has been trying to get made for the past 10 years. Director is meant to be Brian Henson, Jim Henson's son (which makes this kinda awkward now after watching the trailer). Based on the production history, sounds like the film was originally meant to be this R-rated noir type of story in the vein of Roger Rabbit. They released a short trailer back in 2013 and it looked kinda interesting. However, I think the inclusion of Melissa McCarthy has altered a lot of the original concept from a noir type story into this shock value buddy cop comedy.

Honestly would work better if they weren't trying to make it a comedy. If you just rolled with having Muppets in a gritty crime story. Its why Who Framed Roger Rabbit worked, because it was a regular thriller that just so happened to have cartoons pop up (with added racism allegories!)
This...just gives off far too much of a "Woah look at how wacky this all is! Puppets doing stuff puppets don't normally do!" vibe, trying to nod and wink at the audience about how original and clever it is so much it forgets Avenue Q has been doing it for years. Its like Family Guy, trying to tell us all how its in on the funny so much it forgets to actually be funny

Has Melissa McCarthy ever done anything actually good? Because I've never seen her do something that was good.

Didn't watch Charlie's Angels, as for Ghostbusters 2016

I have to admit that I thought she was funny in The Heat (2013). To me, Ghostbusters was ...okay. Not brilliant, but fine. Haven't seen Charlie's Angels; no interest in it, either.
