The hardest Achievement/Trophy you had to work for.

Since the release of the new map pack in the Call of Duty: Black Ops, there seems to be a massive wave of people all over trying to figure out how to get the "Ensemble Cast" achievement unlocked. No one seems to be able to figure it out, including myself. It has been the hardest achievement I've been trying to get for some time, which got me thinking: "What other achievements have taken so much time out of me just to get?"

So my question to all of you is; What was your most painful and frustrating achievement/trophy to unlock?

Tower Master/Best...Alternate...Ever... on this one. (Mortal Kombat)

Hardest? Probably "Mile High Club" on Call of Duty 4, which took two hours total. Closely followed by the mission where you play as Soap and you have to get down the high to the evac whilst being swarmed by enemies, under a certain time and on Veteran.

Escort 5 Female survivors to the safe house in one trip. sounds easy enough right? Answer: NO.
It took a really long time to get that many girls together, plus it was very frustrating getting them back to the safe house, because they kept intentionally running into those freaks with the rain coats (and getting stabbed by them).

i tried to get that one, but i learned it takes 14 hours to do so. There was no way i could ever do that.

I don't have any particularly high-end achievements, despite being a few achievements from an 18k gamerscore. I guess that I'd have to say the "hardest" would be the generic "Hooray you finished the game!" achievements from any of the games I've finished.

Once, a long time ago when I still played WoW I considered working for the Insane in the Membrane achievement but since I didn't have any rogue friends who were crazy enough to help me with one part of the achievement I scrapped that idea.

'Vincible' for Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

"Kill Crawmerax the Invincible"

Me and three friends did this one totally legit. Here's a tip if you ever try it: Crawmerax himself isn't hard, but it's the little monsters that surround him that make it difficult. Me and my friends collected elemental weapons that they would be venerable to before we took him on and they made things a lot easier. There are about three different types of crabs and worms so make sure you use the right tools for the job.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the most damage that was being thrown around was a friend of mine went Berserker and put all his skills into health regen and explosive damage upgrades. He also found a rocket launcher made by Gearbox with crazy damage output and so know that you know, go grab some of your buddies and show that bastard who's boss!

Unlocking 007 mode in Goldeneye with all the cheats (effectively 100%-ing the game).

I only managed to do that at the end of last year. The first time I played through the game when I was... 10 or something, I wasn't even close to completion and had no chance of doing it.

The best cheat I managed was Invisibility on Archive (which is actually quite difficult in itself).

I have the achievement, i just didn't notice i got it until after i got all the girls the safety. Again i was tired at the time.

I was personally quite chuffed with myself for completing all the spec ops on modern warfare2

That sucks. Impressive though that you succeeded in saving them. Atleast you have bragging rights now.

Mirrors Edge; beating one of the timed runs. I couldn't do it. I even watched examples of the worlds best records on youtube, and saw neat game glitches. I could not get my time right. It was always over a minute. ;_;
