The hardest game you've ever played

I know this has been done a trillion times, but I don't see one up right now, so have at it! I'm curious, becuase I've been itching for a new game and a challenging one at that, so throw me your "impossibles" =D

For me it would have been Battletoads (still haven't beaten that =/)

And I don't think it was hard in a good way, I think it was hard in an overwhelming, you can only block " these attacks" by pushing " this" but the problem comes when you have four or five guys swarming you attacking near constantly and it's nigh impossible to get any attacks in as your always on the defense.

Battletoads for the NES, closely followed by Punch-Out for the NES.

They truely dont make games of that caliber anymore

Really original game though, its not often you come upon a game where the ending song is actually longer than the entire game, so when it comes to Innovation it gets a 10/10.
