I really loved high school and hated the fuck out of university. For some reason i've read a lot on this site about how people and girls especially are so much better post high school at university and i found it to be the complete opposite. I hated everyone in university.

iDunno, honestly. My freshman and (to a lesser extent) junior year were sort of meh, but my sophomore year and (also to a lesser extent) my senior year were totally fucking sweet. It basically came down to seven hours every single day of dicking around in the courtyard with a fucking huge group of totally awesome people, swiping way more fries than were necessary from the cafeteria, and meeting hot chicks. I graduated last year (ironically enough the year below me graduated just earlier today), and I remember high school as being a time I had a lot of fun with friends with a bit of annoying paperwork in between, not the other way around like a lot of people, apparently.

EDIT: Also going to a community college now with plans to transfer to the University of Central Florida after next year, so maybe that will be more fun, but St. Petersburg College has been pretty forgettable so far.

I was standard lonely bullied loser kid who did not even feel like i fit in with the friends I did manage to eventually have. Plus I was and still am going through alot of personal stuff that made HS crap. Also the US Education system if very flawed.

High school was fine for me. Most of the people I see on the forums who hate highschool are still in it but they cant be trusted because they are dirty highschoolers who whine too much. Probably because the grass always looks greener.

I actually quite enjoyed it, but then I was part of the 'popular' crowd, so I didn't really suffer any of the bullying and crap that a lot of people on this site had. To be honest, I never had much in the way of problems at all in any of my school life, I just wish I appreciated how damned easy everything was at the time!

High school either sucks horribly or you realize how much it sucked later. It really is one of those things where, even if you're having fun now, you'll look back in hindsight and remember the bad things much more than the good ones.

Jesus shit, did you go to my school/ Sixth Form? What this guy said basically sums up an English secondary school education.
It's the last point that really caught my attention however and basically sums up what is drilled into you over the last two years in sixth form/college. More specifically what i can't stand is the Science/Math students at my school.
Granted a lot of em are decent people THEY HAVE THE FATTEST EGOS IN THE WORLD. I'm not going to lie, to be part of the sciences/math discipline you've got to be pretty clever but these people think they're the blessed immaculate of the education system. I'm more favoured towards history and often get knocked down for it being a completely useless subject and am also ridiculed for wanting to take it for my degree. These people think they're all going to be doctors and earn £70K a year immediately and just be the most awesome people ever but they're bloody lazy and constantly moan about their subjects. Fair play the world needs doctors and i'm not having a dig at them they're exceedingly important, it's just this attitude that if you don't do science/math that you're basically a waste of space and will end up washed up at the side of the street with a can of Special Brew.
I enjoy my studies and found Biology AS to be the most harrowing experience ever (dear god learning the structure of a cell is just damning).
You CAN be successful without be a bloody doctor/engineer. Sure these jobs pay a fuck load (especially engineering) but NOT EVERY SINGLE PERSON CAN BE AN ENGINEER.

I've just finished Lower Sixth at Lincoln Minster if you were genuinely asking. We probably didn't go to the same school though because here it's the music students who are treated like the prodigal children of God. True story this, my school last year spent several million pounds on a new music center (the new complex was supposed to be 50% music and 50% sports, who also needed new facilities, but it got changed to more like 90% music and 10% sports). To be fair they did need new stuff, but the school went overboard with the expense. They spent one million pounds alone on just one piano (no, I am not making that up). Then this year they forked out even more money for a completely unnecessary merger with another musically minded school. As a result the school has literally run out of money and all department spending has been cut to nothing, yes, absolutely nothing, for the next whole year. This wouldn't be necessarily so bad but I can think of at least 3 departments who all needed more help than music did in the first place, and now they have to make do with horrendously out of date facilities and dwindling resources for the next whole year. I am very pissed off.

I personally think, from what I've gathered, we're very antisocial and introverted to society. Not saying everyone is, just a lot of us here are. I might be wrong though.

90% of the school population has the mental capacity of a shovel, and think learning/intelligence is uncool.

Jocks are jocks, prissy girls are prissy girls etc etc.

Plus being a lower-middle class kid in AP classes filled with rich kids isn't fun, I can't begin to tell you how many times in one day I want to tell someone to go fuck themselves.

Really? Dude, that blows. One of my friends has ADHD, so I know where you're coming from with that, but my school is swimming with lots of different opinions. You have my condolences, and no offense, but your school sounds knida shitty.

Because of the constant pressure im under to succeed, and being told that fucking up here will ruin my entire life from here on out. oh and having acne and being very self-conscience about it to the point where even talking to girls, even girls that you really like, becomes difficult. so yeah high school pretty sucks a fat one.

And so forth. I just hate the typical high school crowd.
I wholeheartedly second this opinion

Oh and by the way, you forgot the constant unwarranted swearing, "Badboi" and "Innit" as well.

I just finished my Freshmen year and I enjoy high school, but not because I like it. I like my high school because it is the last stage of my life before I get into the real world. I am honestly a good bit intimidated by the real world so I treasure high school while I can.

Eh, I don't think we really get that in Hawaii. We get more people just using a lot of Pidgin English.

Google it if you don't know what it is.
