The hilariously bad Malaysian DBZ dub

Why the fuck is there a Malaysian dub if they are still speaking in english? Why not just run the english one? Also, dont they have their own language?
And just to add, the Portuguese dub (its in portuguese so there isnt much point posting it here) is also hilarious, not exactly because its bad but because of the way they played with the script, it has some Abriged moments in it.

Yeah... that was really bad. Maybe not entertainingly bad, though, as the voices are too similar to each other, and the sound quality is so poor it's hard for me to understand what they're really saying half the time. It's more a chore to sit through than anything, but that's jut me.
And to be fair, English is probably not their first language.
I consider the Chaos Wars dub to be hilariously bad, because it's always finding different ways to surprise you with it's badness (The actual writing doesn't help either, considering it's Idea Factory and all), thus sorta making you want to hear more, and after a while it becomes rather charming.

In reality, it seems like they were trying to lip sync. If you watch the mouths, they actually match up pretty good, at the expense of sounding silly.

Yes, there are ingenious languages, but English used to be the official language for government and higher education. I think it still is to some extent.josemlopes said:

So it might be dubbing it in English gives it a larger audience.
And dubbing it themselves was probably cheaper.
The voicework is kinda bad, but I wonder how closely this actually resembles the actual language people speak.
Here in the UK we couldn't have the Funi dubs on DVD for some reason. One year my parents got me the Lord Slug movie on DVD and it had the Big Green dub.Soviet Heavy said:

Malay is our national language, but we used to be a British colony, so that's why English is just as popular.
Basically the three main races here are Malay, Chinese and Indian, with English and the Malay Language being the Lingua Franca around here, just so we can stand at an international level. Still, a very large number of the population is still hilariously bad at English, I'm no expert, I make mistakes, but at least I dare say I make sense.
I don't watch DBZ, but I have no idea why we bothered even dubbing this in English, if we had to dub something, we would do so in Malay, our English is very wacky with tonnes of different accents mixed in. There are obviously better people to choose for an English dub.
