He did with Han Solo; Han shooting first made him seem aggressive, zero patience kind of guy. I was pissed that they left Bombadil out. He was awesome, damnit! And for the record, I think he's using stuff from Unfinished Tales and the History of Middle-Earth series, which would explain the appearence of Saruman, Galadriel, and Elrond.
