Alright fellow Escapists, I think it's time we spread the holiday trend. galletea got it started, I joined in, and now we're making it a full blown Escapist theme. Time to put a piece of holly in your avatar. If you can't, post it here and we'll see what we can do to help out. Here's a sample piece to get you started:

I'll change my avatar as long as no holly is involved. I'm Jewish and I would prefer to sport "holiday items" that are inspired by Jewish holidays rather than Christian ones, if that makes any sense.

Fanboys one was awesome, but it still had holly on it ;p

There seems to be a pretty good amount of holly being spread around, even if there are a few who deny it. Some people just like to be deliberately awkward.
I'm willing to forgive the religious types, that's an exception, and I don't want to get into any kind of angry debate.

Sweet merciful jumping holly! This is still going on?
I went to bed, slept, woke up, thankfully didn't roll over into a pile of holy leaves, had breakfast, cleaned the mountain of snow off my car, drove gingerly to work while muttering about holly filled dreams, logged in at work...and BAAM: Holly.

Somehow...I'm at peace.

If you like. Personally I don't go there, but sure, why not.

No way am I going there (they scare me), I just want to gauge their reactions.

Edit: Oh wait, are you going (still half-asleep here)?

If you are, you should say crap like, "tis the season," "bringing the two sites together," and crap like that.

Also, don't try to shove it down their throats (this must be handled delicately), and try not to sound pretentious, nor condescending (it's part of why they hate us).

See? It's worth it. Holly makes things a little better. Unless you're allergic. Or keep it in a pile near your hammock.
