How do you place this gif, behind an image, like what program would i need?

Any program capable of editing .gifs; There is quite a list.

I'd say try GIMP. It seems to be the popular choice for free editing, so there should be a many number of tutorials that cover .gifs lingering around the internet.

Well, seeing as the council is now officially over, I've decided to try and do some image editing myself, and I would like some feedback over what I could do better, bearing in mind that this is the first .gif animation I've ever made in my life. Oh, and the program I used was GIMP.

Change the colour of the text to something brighter and give it a dark outline, or give it a bright outline if you like it that way instead. As it is now I hardly noticed the text at all. Otherwise well done.

Actually, I had meant to say this a while back but I got caught up in real life stuff. With the passing of 2009, the Holiday Council is officially calling it quits. We've been around for a full year and we've had a good run. Now I'm not saying that you can't trick stuff out for the holidays, but there's no more official anything. Just whatever you folks want.

I feel kinda sad it's over. I don't think I'll bother with a new years one now.
I guess I'll just get back to working on a new one for regular use.

Thanks. I've made the text brighter now but I'm still trying to figure out how to change the text outlines currently.

And then he mauled me, the fucker.

ANYWAY, through all the clawing and grevious bodily harm, I eventually managed to shrink it to an appropriate size

I know this is very, very early but I'd just like to put my avatar up for an easter theme. I think it must be difficult to do anything to my avatar; every time I put it up for a holiday it takes a long time to get back to me, so I wanted to get this out of the way before hand. It is quite small and moving so I get that.

I thought it would be cool if it was inside an egg and shot itself out or something, but that's kind of a lot to ask to just make it eastery, thanks ahead of time.
