Holly can mean general festiveness? Since when?xitel said:Holly. Meaning the spiky leaf. Not holly as in general festiveness.

Since this thread started I suppose. We should go around Christmas week in real life with a sprig of holly on our shirts. See if we can start it spreading.galletea said:Holly can mean general festiveness? Since when?xitel said:Holly. Meaning the spiky leaf. Not holly as in general festiveness.

FRACTAL HOLLY
I just want you to know how HARD it was. I'm on my wife's laptop, which is booting Xubuntu and I had to use Gimp to put that freaking holly on my avatar. That may not makes sense to you, and it barely made sense to me.xitel said:Hooray for bandwagons!Baby Tea said:I'm such a sheep!
Now I've just got to get a 'Holly 4 Life' tattoo before it goes out of style.
Well, I say we now make jumping holly an expletive. And we should keep a pile of dry holly leaves next to our beds. Anyways, I don't know about the rest of the folks here, but I'm keeping my holly until the day after Christmas. Then I suppose we'll start the decision over what's going to be New Years.Baby Tea said:I just want you to know how HARD it was. So this Holly thing better last, because if it's out of style by tomorrow, I'll be royally holly'ed off. (I'm using it as an expletive now to further it's longevity).
And to all you anti-holly-ites: Holly you, you holly hating holly jumpers (I'm also assuming that jumping holly is a bad thing).
Agreed. I'll be finding a suitable sprig soon as possible.xitel said:Since this thread started I suppose. We should go around Christmas week in real life with a sprig of holly on our shirts. I would do this, but I've got no idea where to find a sprig of Holly.galletea said:Agreed. I'll be finding a suitable sprig soon as possible.xitel said:Since this thread started I suppose. I never said it wasn't beautiful. All of creation is.galletea said:Why not?Anarchemitis said:NEVER!
Holly is good. It's glossy and attractive. And a beautiful shade of green.
Craft stores should sell some fake holly sprigs around this time of year.Turkishchocolate said:I would do this, but I've got no idea where to find a sprig of Holly.galletea said:Agreed. I'm pretty sure the holly store has holly to spare.Turkishchocolate said:I would do this, but I've got no idea where to find a sprig of Holly.
Holly store? Nice idea but I doubt it'd catch on.Baby Tea said:I'm pretty sure the holly store has holly to spare.Turkishchocolate said:I would do this, but I've got no idea where to find a sprig of Holly.
If there is no holly store near you, or if you've realized that I just made up the holly store, then I'd try a florist or something. They have plants, holly is a plant! Sweet merciful holly jumping! I'm totally getting holly.
