It's not all that bad if you just zoom in, it's a bit blurry while working, but I can live with that. Besides its necessary if you want to make it animated.

Well, I work in Paint, so it's a bit of a problem.

You can still zoom in paint. Just use the magnifying glass and you can zoom in quite far.
