@Unusual: Well I'll go to the release event, plus I acted really depressed when my Dad picked me up, to ensure that he feels guilty enough to drive me again. Bad I know but he drove me late hence the reason I didn't get in.
Although I probably should have said I needed to be there earlier, so blame is also on me.

@Asturiel: Well, it just sounded like a poor situation all around. You conned your dad, but then you were late, and then you didn't get it. Lose lose situation. But, we all deal with those some days.

@Unusual: Yeah, well wasn't really conned, he knew I was going to this, the only thing I conned him with is being overly depressed. To be honest I was quite sad when I found out I couldn't go. Basically all the weeks hype shattered right then and there. So I just played it a bit up.

@Asturiel: Heh, OK. A slight con, not that bad really. That is why I am emotionally detached when it comes to getting myself stuff. It makes it kind of odd on the holidays, but I live happier for it.

@Unusual: I tried that, but then I realized I hate being a robot and hate when other people act like robots. Not to say that thats how it you act but thats my experience with people who are detached with their matters. Theres no feeling in them usually.

@Asturiel: No harm no foul. The thing is, I get attached to things I work with a lot quite easily, so anything new has to go through a strict vetting process.
I'm not exactly robotic, since I am a little more sadistic and funny than that, so it makes an odd conversation to chat with me.
And I wouldn't worry about breaking stuff. There is a reason I live on the third floor!
