*Why did it feel weird? hug*

@Stranger: Still, I'm getting sick of hearing it. There's a lot of things they say to me and it seems like they're just repeating the same stuff over and over again.
"Remember to brush your teeth." I don't do that daily, or even weekly, and I know I should brush them more often. I blame the fact that I stay up so late.

I already mentioned the bath/shower thing to you.

"Why do you always isolate yourself in your room, being all alone?" As if I have to hang out with my family all the time. I never have anything to say, they're always talking together anyway and I like to be alone.

"You spend too much time at your computer." Never heard that one before... /sarcasm

That's just a few of the things I hear either every day or at least once a week.

*Sounded like my grey hairs hug*

@Lambi: Well, to be frank, its cause they care a hell of a lot.
Chances are, you are luckier than me, and have stronger bones and teeth, cause I brush mine all the time, and they still wear away. They just want to make sure you keep your smile. Families find some joy in that kind of thing.

Showers and baths I actually find kind of relaxing...were I get some of my most peaceful thinking done. Perhaps you should try it.

Families are odd to the point in which they just like you being around. Many people at family reunions never say a word crosswise to me, but they know when I don't come. Its some sort of social bond that won't go away.

Well, the computer is a great thing, I'll be the first to tell you....But your family just wants you to speak to them. Again, its the whole social bond thing. Speaking can convey things that the internet cannot.

Just my psychological, and earned grey hairs, take on the matter.

*You have grey hairs? hug*

@Stranger: I know they care about me. But when they repeat the same things over and over again, you almost start to wish you had enough money to rent a place of your own.

My teeth hurt very rarely. The only thing I can't eat are sweets. Or at least, not a lot of sweets.

I know they are relaxing. I know they'll make me clean. But I'm too stuck to the computer to go and take one.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But still, it's like I have to spend all my time with them.

I just feel better when I'm at my computer. That way, I can escape the real life somewhat.

*Yeah, much to my mom's anger and fathers mocking hug*

@Lambi: Well, if you do not respond, they are never sure if you heard them. Do something from time to time, and they comments will disappear. You don't need much, just a little bit of effort to show...

And if they still bring it up, calmly tell them when you did it, and leave it at that.

Then you are lucky with strong teeth. Lucky you!

Well, you just need to peel yourself away. The computer will still be there when you leave, and we will wait for your return. Besides, it is best to learn to entertain yourself away from the computer. Gives you entertaining stories to tell online!

Yeah, it always seems to time drag when with family. Its some sort of odd scientific phenomena, I'm sure. But it makes them happy, and not bother you all the time. I figure the trade worth it.

Feeling good at the computer is nothing terrible...but life always has something that a computer cannot offer. Feel free to escape here whenever you wish, but remember that people in life can be twice as entertaining as us on the net.

*How old are you, anyway? hug*

@Stranger: I don't respond often because I'm sick of hearing it. But I'm too nice to say it to them. >_<

I know the computer will still be there. But I don't really have a social life. Like, at all. Got no job, don't have to go to school, all my friends live at least half an hour away from me and I don't have a car or a licence.

Well, it is said that time flies when you're having fun. So naturally, time slows down drastically when you hang out with your family and don't have fun doing so.

Yeah, there is one thing life has that computers don't have. Human contact. But I've simply given up on trying to socialize.

*American Drinking age, if you can believe that hug*

@Lambi: Everyone gets sick of their family long before they start to love it. A time to time response goes a longer way than you realize, I'm sure.

I see...but perhaps that is why they worry so much. Call up your friends from time to time. Perhaps ask your parents to drive you to their place, or something similar. When they won't, then you have a reason to be at the computer. By doing this, you take away a reason for them to complain and worry.

It depends what you do with your family. Try a board game, or my family likes card games. Just try something out, and it can go a damn long way to easing a lot of family problems.

Well, with your situation, I can understand. Don't give up completely though. There are quite a few people in the world, so there are probably a few who you could really get a conversation with.

*So, 21, right? hug*
I don't remember at the moment what the American drinking age is...

It's good talking to you, or at least someone about this. I'll try and spend more time with my family, but knowing me, I'll just spend more time playing games. "Only" been a gamer for 10 years...

*Correct, and Hello Doc hug*

@Lambi: Always a pleasure to have a conversation.
I am happy to give any experience and psychological assistance you require, regarding any matter anyone deems fit.
Only being a gamer for 10 years is plenty of time! Nothing to feel bad about.
Well, I make the same offer I make to anyone else.
If you want any advice or just chat, let me know. I got time, and I will keep anything said a secret.
