Though much of humanity yearns to be accepted by society as a whole (while there are indeed always exceptions to this), such movements can usually be regarded as unhealthy. Being just with a group with comparable interests to yourself will further isolate yourself from any differing ideal, making you an isolationist because your initial likes have been so heavily reinforced by the group that likes what you like makes you numb to other ideas that other people have, that at one time you might have possibly appreciated, but your psychological makeup is now so heavily reinforced with your initial like that you no longer view anything else as pleasing or acceptable.
