A silver tongue refers to the ability to speak well.

Trombone for 8. Jazz and ska bands ftw!
Does "ftw" mean "for the whores"?
Because if so: get on the drums, that's where the sex machines are at (i.e. Tommy Lee, Bonham, Dave McLane) - I personally don't represent that side of the drumming world but .. meh lol

Wow, am I the only guy who spins records?
No, I have spent a fair bit of time mixing and DJing, but I wouldn't call it playing an instrument.
I don't know about that, beat matching is a skill that takes time to learn, let alone mixing itself.
It's a skill certainly but it's not really an instrument
You're not creating music you're manipulating it
Or do i have that wrong?
I don't really know what goes into a DJ's process

Oh yeah!

Add Protools and Reason to my instrument list.

I would love to be able to DJ!

They're tools aren't they?
It's like comparing your bass to your stomp-box
Also: major in bass at uni?
My friend Lucas would love you (be you man, woman, alien, Bel-Shammorath)
He, like, knows everything about the bass, plays that song "Solar Groove" by the bassist from Dream Theatre alot

EDIT: it's john myung

Protools and Reason might just be tool but they still create music. A guitar is a tool, an amp is a tool and so on..

A truer statement could not be said.

My teacher at Uni once said a very wise thing to me: 'Your instrument is a tool to help you make music. The key to being great at it is to not let your instrument get in the way while you're making [music].'

I got into a band last year playing guitar, even though I didn't know how, but I joined anyway. I have been playing for a year now, and am in a different band.

I played classical guitar for about 3 years, and that was about...cor, 6 years ago!

I kinda wish I had continued...
I've been tempted to take up piano, and violin too. But...too lazy :<

I play guitar pretty well. I also played for about two years saxophone but I kinda suck right now. And if you count a pen as an instrument then yeah cuz I'm a good writer.

Can you ReWire Protools and Reason? I haven't really followed the development of either largely owing to the 'enclosed' nature of the products - In that Reason doesn't support VSTs, DX or AUs and while I'd hazard to guess that Protools has some kind of VST wrapper by this point, it used to only support native RTAS and hardware driven "Powercore" TDM plugins.
Yeah you can rewire Protools and Reason together. Thats how I write most my songs; Protools for recording and reason for drums, synth or anything else I wanna throw in =D
