Really rather surprised that the Escapist isn't fully blacked-out. I know they are a small sight, but every bit helps. I mean, Destructoid is closed, why not the Escapist?

(I really would have loved to see the SOPA front for the Escapist with the Jimquisition "SOPA Passed" episode on the front)

This doesn't seem to be effecting me any. Although I did check just to see how committed some of those sites really were. Some of them, not so much. Like Facebook, not at all.

So you ignore as much of my posts as possible and attempt to take comments out of context whilst failing to address the main points.

You can only ignore the truth until you cannot reply without changing your view, something you and this community seem unwilling to do regardless of the facts presented to them. You refuse to read a Bill which you are so readily willing to pass judgment on and then somehow claim mass ignorance is acceptable?

Just report and move on. Don't feed the trolls. Everyone should just not talk to Jimbo or The cool Kid since they seem to be the only two who support this bill. Which I'm 99% sure they are the same person or somehow know each other and just like to troll people.

If they are actually two random different people and DO actually like this bill then I feel a little sadden that such rude, close minded people exist. Oh I knew their were already rude closed minded people before, but these two take the cake.

Anyways OT: I hope this blackout works, I read that three of the supporters already drop out. So here to hoping that SOPA and PIPA do not get pass. If they do then I do see either two things happening.

1) It gets quickly repel due to all the hate that the people say about it.
2) the Government says "Fuck you" to everyone and keep it and there no more fun on the internet.

Which I'm looking at mostly option one. Hopefully.

What's wrong with that post? Ignorant isn't an insult; it simply means "Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular". As the user has admitted to not having read the Bill, he is technically ignorant about it. Also speaking of moderation it may be wise not to be condescending, as that's how your post comes off of.

The only site I've seen black out is Wikipedia, truthfully it's rather disappointing I was hoping for mass panic.

OT: I don't really have an OT comment. I support whatever the blackouts stand for but don't participate? I'm not exactly a frequent visitor of many sites other than this one, though, and I find it hard to think that WoW would be taken down for twelve hours over something like this.

Destructoid isn't closed. They just changed the title/main page.

I was pretty sure that was just the archived pages. I didn't see any new stuff being put up. At the very least, they did more than the escapist did.

Weirdly, Xvideos (NSFW) is the only website who did it right - they only blacked out their site to American users.

As a non-American, you can appeal to me for help all you like - I can't do a damn thing about it. I don't have local Senators or anyone to email and I certainly cannot protest.

I was disappointed in Wikipedia for over-looking this.
