Non-stop? Isn't that movies less then 3 hours long? How is it Non-stop?

Yes. A single man cannot circumvent every form of authority and law in the entire country and eventually any terrorist would bring down every government agency on his ass. In the real world villains can't manipulate the world. (And Batman would have been shot to death on multiple occasions).

God I hated the joker in that film. He ruined the film for me.

Anyway you could just shoot him. Batman never did that because hes too worried about karma.
Mind if I ask why you hated the joker in The Dark Knight?
The way he spoke like he was sucking on sponge. The way they made such a big deal of those scars on his face which are really just stupid looking regardless of the many stories he made up about them. When he was carrying out his evil plans as well he didnt seem as psychotic as i thought he should be. I also dont think that the Joker would ever really admit that batman was truly incorruptable as his continued efforts to corrupt him are kind of his thing.

The joker in arkham asylum is an example of how I think he should have been.
In my opinion The Joker in the The Dark Knight was more of an anarchist than he was crazy. I like The Joker in The Dark Knight but he doesn't seem to have that insane aspect about him like he does in Arkham Asylum.

Hey all! So I've been watching the Dark Knight almost non-stop and I had a thought; If a guy like the Joker existed would anybody be able to stop him? Now obviously batman is out of the question because he's only in the movie so do you think Joker can be stopped if he really existed?
Quite easily, its if he inspired other jokers that it would become a problem. There are obvious plots in any given film such as this, think "How did he get to this point? What would it take to do this" etc etc and you'll find its about as probable as Killer Croc and the Riddler teaming up for a glorious victory in 'are you smarter than a 4th grader'.

This, basically. In fact, I think The Joker could be better if he was just an entity rather than a person. Could you imagine trying to track someone down only to find that they were a copycat of someone else and so on and so on? Until you round up ALL the copycats and destroy the information regarding the case afterwards, there could be an infinite stream of copycats and related crimes...

...But that would be as interesting as some ape-shit insane guy who looks like a clown who beats up Batman.

(For the record, I think that Mark Hamil's Joker from the animated series and Jack Nicholson's Joker from the 80's film are both superior to Heath Ledger's. Heath's performance was good but he wasn't as fun to watch.)

Are you talking about the Joker in the arkum asylum graphic novel or the arkum asylum game? because the joker in the arkum asylum game doesn't seem psychoatic at all, everything with him is way more calculated then the joker in the film (which i think has been the best performance of any joker)
The game(dont even say it). I feel that the joker is extremely psychotic in the game. Although its alot more calculated as you say you have to admit some of the things he does to get at the batman are pretty crazy. Titan virus grunts and stuff like that not to mention injecting himself with it.
Ya but none of that is really "psychoatic" I don;t know if you combine all the comics of the joker heath ledger's performance is the one who got him the closest to how the joker should be.
I disagree but everyones got their own preference

Probably. Depends what city he was in. It's not like he's immortal though. He wouldn't last too long in Los Angeles, but he might have more success in New York.
I reckon he'd do fine causing mayhem wherever he goes, even in the north pole.

I can see it now, The Dark Santa

If the Joker came to england I suppose I'd go stop him.
Or you know I might just sit here and talk to you guys about stuff.
It just depends on what I had for breakfast really.

Ya but you do acknowledge that The Joker is supposed to be a murderer right? I mean does he directly kill anyone in arkum asylum?

There's already a real life version of the Joker. He's called Glenn Beck.
Herp da derp, you iz hisstaricall.

OT: I'm not sure if he would last very long or not. I can't really think of a figure in history very much like him, which eliminates any comparison I could draw. Still, any way you look at it, if he existed, he'd be a scary ************.

I love how people keep talking about taking a gun to him. I'm going to laugh if someone like the Joker does appear, the people who said they would shoot him, find themselves in a spot to shoot him, and don't. Saying you can kill someone, and then doing it, its a compeltely different matter. When it comes down to the point of actually shooting, or killing, someone, you get a lot of emotions at once. Most people are overwhelmed by it, especially the ones who think they can shoot people easily.

Now, on topic, if someone like the Joker was real, we'd all be screwed. His intellect would run us all into the ground. That is the Joker's superpower, his mind. He can fuck with people's heads easily. He can make people do what he wants, without them knowing. Now, of course if the Joker was real, he would also know about the movies, know that Convenience was there and such. He wouldn't rely on luck. Now, people may say, oh but he got lucky, how did Batman know he would go after the girl? How would he know that Harvey wouldn't just blow his brains without flipping the coin? ITS CALLED PSYCHOLOGY DUMBASSES! If you know the way humanity works well enough, you will know how each person will react. Joker studied these damn people. It was obvious how he knew each move they would make, he knew that Batman would go to the damn girl because he knew how he reacted to her. If you jump out of a building just to save a girl, you are going to go run to her over some guy she is dating. It was the sign that Batman was corrupted by love. He choosed love over peace in Gotham City, THAT was what Joker was trying to prove to Batman. He also almost got through to Batman, but of course, good guys in movies always win.

The Joker is a fictional plot contrivance.
Of course he would be stopped in a realistic setting, and quite quickly as well.
