In theaters was Iron man 2. I gotta admit, its a shame that rouricks character didn't get more screen time because the villain was actually intriguing this time around, as opposed to the first Iron man where it was just the Green Goblin in an Iron Man suit.
On DVD, would have to be Ingloriuos Basterds. always a guilty (but at times, deep) treat.
Prince of Persia. Sort of fun if you switch off your higher brain functions, but the acting was lousy - no exceptions - and the movie has absolutely no entertainment value beyond watching it once.
Cinema: Alice in Wonderland (Still playing here in the cheap seats... wasn't bad and I only paid a dollar for it too)
DVD/Blu-Ray: Avatar. Yes, I'm a little late to the party, but it was ok. I'd never seen Blu-Ray on a high-def TV before and... it was off-putting when the character's stubble looked like it could sand your skin off.
"Allow me to introduce you to Max Payne, one of New York's finest, with the biggest mobster body count ever". Vlad.
There was zero fan service in that trainwreck of a film. The guns didn't blaze, Max wasn't hellbent on revenge. I can barely remember what it's about, that's how little of an impression Max Payne the film made on me. I've played each of the Max Payne games through, 9 or 10 times, when I heard there was a film coming I got a bit excited, my excitement dwindled slightly when I saw Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis were casted, but I remained optimistic...I shouldn't have.
Never trust Hollywood with remaking anything, game to film adaptions, or even remaking foreign films. They will fuck it up.
OT: I watched Black Dynamite last night, and enjoyed it very much. Great performance by Michael Jai White.
Erm...Not so much on TV or cinema, but I watched the Live Action movie of "When they Cry: Higurashi" on Youtube.
Meh, I guess it's okay for a typical J-movie. It was sometimes relying on atmosphere in the beginning, though, which didn't really work out IMO. Also, everyone just smirks unaturally.
Now, the movie before that one, "Ghost In The Shell", was way better.
Last movie at cinema: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Powerful. Epic. Drama.
Last movie on TV: Glorious 39. Not quite as powerful but still very powerful drama.
Last movie on TV (if documentaries count): Capitalism: A Love Story. Very informative. Brave.
Last movie on TV (if docu-dramas count): Micro Men. Funny. Hip. Tragic.
Last movie on PC (if MST3K counts): The Leech Woman. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!
