Book: Elyon (6th book in a fiction spin-off series from Ted Dekker)

A dude signs himself into a psychiatric ward that is infested with a skin disease that
a. stinks
b. makes the infected people believe that those not infected are really the infected ones and hence need to be eliminated.
The guy must then escape from the hospital by using a strange gun type thing that he finds.
This will be hard though due to a glitched security system that likes to call you names.

A drug-induced trip with anthropomorphic animals satirizing and criticizing the hippie-mentality from the '60s in a cyberpunk world which is actually a gigantic colossus where a synthetic and an organic species are at war, with only a weapon called the Monado being able to harm the synthetic species.

So... Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Megaman must defend Helm's Deep from an army of 10,000 Uruk-Hai, led by Mr. X's robot masters. Meanwhile, Saruman, Mr. X (Dr. Wily in disguise), and the League of Evil Ex-Boyfriends are planning further evil from Isengard when they are attacked by the Ents who are accompanied by Merry, Pippin, and Young Neil. Ramona and Scott Pilgrim use subspace highways to keep up with Gandalf and Shadowfax as the four of them track down Erkenbrand and his warriors to aid Theoden. Stephen Still and Kim Pine tag along with Samwise, Frodo, and Gollum, but are generally inactive and too cool for whatever is going on. Wallace travels with Faramir, and is largely responsible for Faramir's disinterest in the ring, though Wallace sarcastically offers to take it off of Frodo's hands, much to the confusion of Sam and Frodo. Knives Chau and Tamara Chen help Arwen deal with her father and her love for Aragorn. They also dye Arwen's hair. Stacy spends most of this time trying to track down Faramir, only to learn he has been stolen by Wallace.

Assassins' Creed Brotherhood; Das Leben, Das Universum und der ganze Rest {translation to German of the second Hitch-Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy book - bought a few of them as light reading while I was studying out there this year}; and Despicable Me {yes I know I know... but it was actually a pretty funny film, all things considered}.
It... could work? I think elements of each could maybe fit together? Pretty odd concept to be honest.
