I watched The Lovely Bones and I was greatly disappointed. For a movie that I supposed was about a pedophile/murderer, you hardly get to see any of that. AND

instead of the capturing the killer the dead girl possesses some other girl so she can make out with her former love interest and the killer gets away. They try to make it okay by having him fall off a cliff and die, but it wasn't as satisfying as seeing him put in a cop car and in a jail cell

Overall I was very disappointed and would have rather watched just about anything else...

Greetings everyone.

Sort of surprised no one else mentioned this one, but I went and saw Get Him to the Greek recently, starring Jonah Hill and Russel Brand.

As a strange man, I had absolutely no idea who the heck Jonah Hill was. Russel Brand, on the other hand, I knew well. You spend 4 years in England and you'll obviously see him mentioned somewhere.

Let me get this out of the way right now: The movie was f----ing hilarious. I haven't laughed this hard at humour so silly in years. Now don't go walking there thinking it's a well-written and witty comedy. Because it's not. This is more like The Hangover than, say, Date Night.

Personally I recommend this film to anyone who needs a good long laugh. Though I'm beginning to get sick of shelling out $15 for a ticket and Medium soda. >.>

The new Robin Hood. Not bad, but it missed the outlaw nature of Robin Hood. Not a bad film, just not what I had hoped for.

The Prince of Persia movie.
I loved it. The first good videogame movie.
And the allusions were everywhere...

This morning I watched "Werckmeister Harmonies" and last night "Through A Glass, Darkly". Werckmeister was excellent, but some of it was a bit over my head and Through A Glass is one of the best films I've ever seen.

I watched Take the Money and Run.
Loved it, it's Woody Allen before he tried to be a 'serious' director.

Speed Racer (2008) that was written and directed by the Wachowski brothers. It was pretty forgettable. The visuals had an interesting style to them but not enough so that it didn't already look really dated.

iron man 2 and is as entertaining as the first. if not more science than fiction this time around.

Terrence Howard > Don Cheadle; therefore, IRONMAN > IRONMAN 2 by association! XD

On video: Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. It was amazing. Guy Ritchie directed it and he's awesome.

In theaters: Robin Hood with Russell Crowe. The movie was good, but Russell wasn't a good choice for Robin. He needs to be a lot more humorous and light-hearted even in a dark and gritty movie. The rest of the merry men were perfect, and the little john was AMAZING. But Crowe as robin didn't quite work for me.

If I'm not mistaken it was Zatoichi, a Japanese samurai flick directed by and starring my favorite entertainer:

Takeshi Kitano.

Man that guy knows how to break the rules of conventional action movie making!
Yeah I rather like that movie too. Reminds me of some of the old japanese epics.

Last movie I watched was sadly (and hilariously) titled 'Lesbian Vampire Killers.' Its basically Shaun of the Dead meets buffy the vampire slayer, and I found it strangely entertaining. Worth a look if you enjoy oddball comedy.
