I just watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1978). It's better and more disturbing than most modern movies, because it really evokes a feeling of helplessness -- most movies today don't convince you that the "evil menace" is really unstoppable.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo [small](Swedish: Man som hatar kvinnor (Men who hate women))[/small]

Disturbing. Provocative. Powerful. Amazing. Wonderful. Moving.

Just went to see it on a whim, but so glad that I did. And the sequel is coming out here in a little under three months, and the third in the trilogy a few months after that.

Watched Raising Arizona on film4 last night, love that movie, one of Cage's best performances
Raising Arizona is really fun. Definitely agree on Cage.

Last movie I watched was Full Metal Jacket. Very thought-provoking (and even entertaining - particularly Lee Ermey's performance) while watching it, but for some reason it feels very mind-deadening after having watched it. Still, a very good film.

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I loved the books as a kid and enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would when I'd read that "Alice..." and "...Looking Glass" had a few combined elements in this new version.

Truth be told: I'm watching it again atm. =B

Cloverfield last night. I enjoyed it but was kinda thinking 'Nothing happens in this movie', maybe its because it takes like 40 minutes before the monster attacks and it isn't a long movie to begin with.

Before that I watched 'Shark Attack 1', which I really enjoyed, because I love terrible creature features XD

Transformers

It was fun enough, stretched out for too long with a boring plot. But I wanted to see robo-action and I got robo-action.

Saw Inglorious Basterds yesterday and loved it. I normally hate Brad Pitt but he was awesome in IB!
Really? What about Fight Club?
I seriously thought the ending of Fight Club was "meh." Maybe it's because I saw the twist coming after watching "The Machinist"?

Seriously after watching "The Machinist" you will spot that sort of twist coming 500 miles[footnote] And I would walk 500 more[/footnote] away.
I guess, but even taking out the plot twist, I still really enjoyed the movie, all the small simple jokes, like the ass or the crotch, were just golden

Crank.

The best stupid film I've seen so far. Fun, awesome soundtrack, Jason Statham.

In theaters, Iron Man 2, which was ok.
The most recent one not in theaters was The Great Gatsby (1974) which was also just ok.

Kickass

I thought it sucked all it was was a gimmicky " OMG A LITTLE GIRL SAYS CURSE WORDS!111" kind of movie and don't even get me started on that jetpack at the end.

Splice. Most of it was really good, but then at the end, I get the sense that they just tried to make it as fucked up as possible, and they didn't bother making any of it believable. So the ending ruined the movie. I'm trying not to spoil anything.
