Hi, I just borrowed TLOU from a friend, who bought it on Friday and beat it within a day, and apparently I "HAVE TO" play it because it's that good, and he wants someone to talk to about it with (It's so weird that this practice might not be available/as simple on the Xbox One). But anyway, I am NOT a fan of horror games. I just don't really enjoy being scared, especially since these days most scares are cheap/jump scares. I prefer "haunting" and "chilling" moments, psychological or emotional horror as opposed to "OH NO, YOU'RE IN A DARK ROOM AND HIDEOUS THINGS JUMP OUT AT YOU AND CHASE YOU" but I really want to experience The Last of Us and be able to finish it. I even hesitated at the beginning of the prologue because the house was so dark and quiet and she was alone, once things got loud and busy it was much better though.
My question is, did you think The Last of Us was too scary? Also, I just turned 24, so I was curious if anyone else, as an adult, has had a game that affected their desire/ability to finish it because of it being too scary. I have missed out on some great games because of this: Bioshock, RE4, and Half Life 2 just to name a few (for some reason HL2 was terrifying for me). Strangely, I never feel as tense with scary movies, for some reason it feels so much more tense when it is seemingly happening to me/my character and having some sort of control and responsibility for the outcome.
