The last RPG you played... that WASN'T Skyrim

So, seeing as there's STILL multiple Skyrim threads on the first page, here's an anti-Skyrim thread (but NOT a Skyrim-hate thread, let me be clear).

What was the last RPG you played, Skyrim aside?

A few days ago, I picked up an RPG that I'd heard about before, but my local Gamestop never carried. But, I found myself recently at a Gamestop I've never been to before, so I finally had a chance to pick it up at $10: Half-Minute Hero.

I gotta say, I'm digging the HELL out of this game. The 8-bit presentation is great, and it's weirdly addictive. Having to complete an entire RPG quest in 30 seconds sounds like a gaming nightmare (as I usually hate timers in games), but for some reason, it really works here.

Also, I find it hugely satisfying to have my stalwart hero run screaming at full speed at enemies, and mow them down like a bulldozer.

Most are going to say dark souls I think. Since it came out a couple of weeks before. I know its the last rpg I played before skyrim.

a) Haven't gotten Skyrim yet. Waiting for the GotY edition after all the DLC is released.
b) Currently playing FE: Sacred Stones. Yea, I played it back on my GBA, but my leg's broke, my 3DS is all I've got and it's the best game out of the Ambassador lineup.

I started up Deus Ex: Human Revolution again today. I've been playing The World Ends With You little bits at a time. And just a few days ago I finished what is about my tenth playthrough of KotOR 2. I also played KotOR right before it. I mostly do play RPGs, which isn't an uncommon thing on this forum.

Just finished my second playthrough of The Witcher 2, going along with Iorveth this time.

Second playthrough of SMT:Nocturne , on hard . Before that was dark souls . Before that was wild arms 1 before that was wild arms 4. Before that was argrest war : zero. Before that was radiata stories , before that ... Hey i guess i play a lot of rpgs eh?

I haven't actually played Skyrim, and I'm in no particular hurry to.

So for me it's The Witcher, a game I know I was a few years late to the party with

Skyrim has pretty much taken total control of my life, but before that I was messing around with lands of lore. And oldie I downloaded off of gog.com. I still am playing radiant historia on my ds when I travel though, and getting very close to completion.

Just got securom to send me a kotor2 exe that works with windows 7 so I've been playing that . Before that was a 42 hour Jade Empire marathon.

With the Restoration Mod? It's insane, but out of the 10 times I've played KotOR 2, five have been the Xbox version and I've still never been able to try the Restoration Mod.

There are so many PC games I want to play. But when this computer dies and I get a new one, the first game I'll play on it will be KotOR 2 with that mod.

Hmm. It's been a while since I've last played an RPG that wasn't Skyrim.

I think it was either Final Fantasy 9 or Chrono Trigger DS. Both really great games. (The former is one of my most favorite games of all time.)
