Well since skyrim made my pc blow up (overheated my CPU) I've been using my laptop with much lower specs.
Tried WoW for about an hour, found it incredibly boring and logged off. Tried to get Deus Ex and Vampire, The Masquerade Bloodlines to work, though neither could find steam, and as such do not work, Bioshock wouldn't run on my computer, and I only really played the first level of bastion...

Does Dungeons of Dredmor count? even if I only have a couple hours on record? Because before then it was Oblivion...

Been spending a lot of my time getting hyped up for Guild Wars 2, Watching the opening missions for that and then doing the opening missions for WoW was a massive let down.
So I re-downloaded Guild Wars 1, might do some time on that.

Disgaea 4, which I was actually going to stop the Skyrim binging and go back and play it today, but the latest patch absolutely refuses to install, so....more Skyrim!!

Odin Sphere. Was sitting on my shelf for years and I finally decided to play it and I am glad I did. I finished it a few days ago and clocked in 43 hours. I originally got bored with it and dropped it but I gave it a much better chance and turned out to be a great game.

So, seeing as there's STILL multiple Skyrim threads on the first page, here's an anti-Skyrim thread (but NOT a Skyrim-hate thread, let me be clear).

What was the last RPG you played, Skyrim aside?

A few days ago, I picked up an RPG that I'd heard about before, but my local Gamestop never carried. But, I found myself recently at a Gamestop I've never been to before, so I finally had a chance to pick it up at $10: Half-Minute Hero.

I gotta say, I'm digging the HELL out of this game. The 8-bit presentation is great, and it's weirdly addictive. Having to complete an entire RPG quest in 30 seconds sounds like a gaming nightmare (as I usually hate timers in games), but for some reason, it really works here.

Also, I find it hugely satisfying to have my stalwart hero run screaming at full speed at enemies, and mow them down like a bulldozer.
I can never find that! I know it's on PSN, but I want a physical copy! Let's see, the last RPG I played before Skyrim was a replay of Fallout: New Vegas that I've left unfinished and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite if that counts. I only played a bit of it though, but I did like it.

DE: Human Revolution, I think.

I'm almost done with Skyrim (done as in fed up, just want to finish the main quest), next on my list is TOR. That should scratch the RPG itch for a month or two...

Betrayal at Krondor.
I had to check something in chapter II then went back to Skyrim. ;)

Well Fable 1 i guess. I started my reply of that yesterday.
Such good gameplay. Great when feeling nostalgic.

Fallout: New Vegas. I started a new character because I was interested in what kind of fun you can have punching people to death instead of shooting them to death. (Answer: it's about the same.)

Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

It's fun enough, I don't find that stealth works as well as it could so I more or less went for the straight up soldier build with a minor in Hacking.

Vampires The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Rolled a couple new characters of races I hadn't tried yet. Played 20 hours of it in the last week or so since I haven't been feeling Skyrim as of late.

Star Wars The Old Republic, really fun and it has drawn my attention away from skyrim rather easily actually.

Well, I am currently in the middle of a flawless play through Ogre Battle 64, and I am starting up Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones on my 3DS since Nintendo just gave it to me for free.
They are both tactical RPGs, but still RPGs imo.

I played Oblivion a couple days ago. Honestly, it's my first TES game, and I'm feeling a tad bit overwhelmed. I'd be fine just going through all the quests, but I haven't been able to take ten steps outside a town without seeing another Oblivion Gate pop up. Honestly, those gates are the only thing I'm hating about the game, and the only reason I'm not playing it right now.
