Well, now the latest album I've got (besides my Autotheism preorder) would be Fade by Cloudkicker. It's a one-man instrumental bedroom project, but it's varied, interesting, and always pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp. And this newest release is probably his best yet.

Gojira's L'Enfant Sauvage. Absolutely love it, and got a tshirt with the package too

Physical album? Blue Record by Baroness, and I'm loving the hell out of it, especially the songs Swollen And Halo and Jake Leg.

Oh my god, I love you guys. Just throwing it out there that first, L'Enfant Sauvage is an incredible album, and second, that Baroness are criminally unheard of in my local Rock Soc, as far as I'm aware. Awesome band. Props to you both.

Having a job is great; I can buy MORE ALBUMS.

I just picked up In Flames's Whoracle to fill out my back catalogue, and rebought the Dropkick Murphy's Going Out in Style because one of my flatmates (accidentally) snapped the fucking disk.

And I love you too. Because you mentioned Baroness. They're playing in a club not far from me on the 15th...I'm so lucky, it'll be fucking kickass. Have you heard their new record? Dropkick Murphys seem good too from I've heard (a few songs off Tony Hawk games, plus that one from The Departed). I've got a couple of their albums, really should get round to listening to 'em.

I don't have a job. But I spend my student grant and buy loads of albums anyway! It's difficult to resist when you see things like Paradise Lost's Draconian Times Special Edition for only £7.50.

Ah man, I'd planned on going to their Sheffield show on the 13th and trying to convince a bunch of people to come along with me, but I'm working and that's the only day they're remotely near me. I've heard the singles so far from Yellows & Green, fucking love what I've heard so far. Probably going to grab the album when payday rolls around again.

Hah, that's what I did in my first year of uni, just blew my student grant and bursary on music. Sod spending it on useful things Also, Draconian Times SE for £7.50's a great bargain, more props to you for even more awesome music

The latest album i bought was Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park. (Please don't hurt me.) Only got it a week ago actually.

I just (And I mean JUST!) bought "A New World Record" by the Electric Light Orchestra.

It's really good, man.

Also, I barely know any of the bands you lot talk about, did I grow too old suddenly, or what?

I ordered a few records a while back.

The standouts were definitely '13-Point Program to Destroy America' and 'Plays Pretty for Baby, two rcords by The Nation of Ulysses.

They're a Washington D.C. post-hardcore band from the late 80s, alongside bands like Fugazi and Rites of Spring. These guys were different in that they played with a strong free-jazz influence, advocated smart dressing within the punk scene and had a much more pronounced far-left political stance than their contemporaries.

As for the records, amazing. Raw, unadultered rage and energy that must've been an amazing thing to witness live. Shame then, that I had to be born after they split-up.

Special mention goes to 'The Stone Operation' by Mischief Brew. Great mix of anarcho-punk, folk and Gypsy music. Erik Petersen is a genius.

I've bought a fair few lately: Albion Sky by Alistair Griffin (soft rock/pop with occasional acoustic bits, really nice sound, and he's a Boro fan, so he's an awesome human being), Oceania by Smashing Pumpkins (The Celestials may well be one of the best songs ever written), Handwritten by Gaslight Anthem (45 is a superb opener, rest of the album is pretty solid rock, what you'd expect from them), Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by Black Stone Cherry (some awesome heavy rock with a softer summer-sound Like I Roll in the middle) and the eponymous Airborne Toxic Event (interesting album with a lot of sorrow in it, but not emo). I also won Days Go By by The Offspring, which is all the awesome you'd expect from them, but with a random track that just doesn't seem to fit anywhere in it stuck in halfway.
