A lot of the threads on this forum are devoted to the best/worst games of all time that's fine but I was wondering dear escapists what in your opinion is the the laziest game evarr! a game where the design team were clearly on a schedule or had no new ideas whatsoever it can be any game at all, even upcoming releases. In my opinion it's dungeons and dragons by no means is the game bad it's just the fact that the players not only make the mechanics the characters and rules they also write the story I leave it to you fellow escapists

Some JRPG's are pretty unimaginitive (Story wise) though I have to blame the fact that any plot twist is probably an over-used cliché.

A lot of sports titles are 'lazy', they do just update the teams/rosters, graphics, commentary et al. But still doesn't mean I can't enjoy them, they're just unimaginitive.

Many sequels tend to be lazy.

Halo 2 felt like this, and Bungee admitted that they didn't really put their best effort into it.

Sorry, what?

Have you even played D&D? The players don't make up any of the mechanics or rules; that's why you need rulebooks to play it. They're free to tinker with the rules if they want, but that's the thing: they only need to if they want to. Ok, you create the characters, but that's no different from any CRPG (if you're playing it right, at least). And I don't see how giving the players the option to make up the story is lazy. There are plenty of pre-packaged adventures you can buy, which means the DM doesn't have to spend ages planning a campaign; you only need to design your own if you want to. Admittedly, most people will, but that's the great thing about D&D: it allows for much more creativity and open-endedness than any CRPG could.

On-topic: Halo 3. Hey, look everyone! It's Halo 2 with shinier graphics! I still don't think it's that bad a game, but it's nothing particularly special.

Tomb Raider sequels. And Halo 3, honestly they could of done abit more work on that, or at the very least made the single player campaign a bit longer.

No More Heroes.
I don't even think they bothered finishing that one before chucking it onto shelves. That really should've been a budget title.

Sure they did some new things (mostly QTE minigames based on the most mundane occupations (mowing lawns, pumping gas, picking up garbage) but it was all too tedious.

These videos are from before gamespot started sucking and are quite funny imo.

Oh beat to the punch.
Over the road racing indeed. Never knew that trucks could scale mountains.
