I was going to write up something about the Fallout Universe but then realised that would take more work than I'm willing to do right now... Sloth is my deadly sin without a shadow of a doubt.

What's the laziest you've ever been, do you have a problem with effort, and have you ever gotten into trouble because of your laziness?

If you don't post I'll assume you all noticed it and decided to not even click on it, proving that my thread is the most successful thing ever.

My first experience of laziness having serious, real consequences was this spring. I knew I had to apply to the job at the place I worked last year, I just never got around to it, and there was no other reason for it besides laziness. When I eventually did, the job had already been filled. I had no other jobs lined up nor had I been to any interviews, so I had a moment of absolute panic and horror. Good thing then that my field still employs summer spots really late into spring, so I managed to land another job.

I wouldn't exactly say I have a problem with effort, since I'm almost always the first one to pick up, say, a school group assignment if no one else is because I'm domineering like that. I'm more of a procrastinator, and just for an example, I still haven't returned one exam that was supposed to be returned after the first half of my first year. I'm entering my fourth year in my studies this year, so yeah, that's the level I'm at. I just need a voice or someone to threaten me with consequences so I can return things in time.

Sometimes after a big meal I get the Itis and just want to sit in a chair and sleep.

I'm so lazy I'd be willing to hold a parade in honour of lazin- ah, f*ck it.

EDIT: During my rock star years, I stayed in bed once for almost 48 straight hours. Good thing I didn't have to crap.

I so lazy I have my own spit bowl when my morning breath build up too much. I just got tired of getting up in the night or super early to go to the bathroom to spit it out and going back to bed but can't fall back to sleep!

Also don't worry I'm not a complete slop as I do clean the bowl with hot water when I used it.

Not exactly lazy bu any means, however I found myself just inactive to many things because of the lack of instructions.
So without having something else to do, I act like I am a very lazy....

But if I have to give a real answer, I can for sure say I am lazy sometimes to finish not so good games I started playing.

I sometimes sleep away 3/4th of a day to then realize I've got shit to do the next day and spend that last 1/4th working my ass off.

You're also so lazy you don't help me finish off.
You know what I'm talking about. -_-

But on other topics, I am terribly lazy when it comes to booking time off of work to attend things I need to do/be at. Like my sisters wedding, where I only managed to get time off the day before the actual wedding. >_>

I've had days where I simply could not be assed to get up for work and pulled a few sickies. This did come and bite me in the ass a bit eventually as I was eventually reviewed because where I worked had a strict sickness policy (even though it was only a couple of days).

Hi there.
I'm Mike's room mate.
He asked me to post a message saying "this."

I don't get it.

I'm lazy all the time.
There isn't a "laziest time I've ever been" because I always outdo myself.

I don't wanna have to get all the way up, walk through not just 1, but 2 doorframes, have to pull my pants down and sit -down- again just to have a poop. Freakin' exhausting bodily functions! :(

I almost passed up this thread because I didn't feel like responding to it, but then I saw what you did there and stubbornness won out.

I'm not so lazy that it gets me into trouble, though if I tell myself I'm going to draw for personal reasons or as a favor (as opposed to someone who payed me or gave me some sort of incentive), I may never get around to it.

This isn't really laziness, but years ago I played a console game on my TV for such a long time that, when I finally stopped playing and turned on the news, I saw that a hurricane had formed offshore and dissipated, all within the span of me playing some game I can't remember. My solution wasn't playing less; I decided instead to drag a second television next to the first so I could watch TV while playing games. I ended up watching movies on that TV instead.

I've been running a dual monitor setup on my PC ever since. I still only watch local TV once every month or so.

.

This is gross, but when I was in the Army there were a lot of guys who would keep empty Gatorade bottles so they wouldn't have to go down the hall to piss in the middle of the night. It's a guy thing.[footnote]See Bossypants by Tina Fey for a similar story about male writers[/footnote]

I won't get out of bed to go to the bathroom until it hurts to hold it any longer because I can't be arsed to get up. I've been living on my own for over two years now and I haven't washed my sheets once because that would mean a separate load of laundry. I'm sitting here instead of getting ready to pick my sister up from school. I've procrastinated playing video games because it just takes SO MUCH mental effort to pay attention. I'm only able to type this because I don't feel like lifting my arms away from the keyboard.

So, uh, right now I'm quite likely to be kicked out of university because I can't muster the will to study properly. So ya, lazy get's you places, those places being most likely your parents house.
