Noticing the the scaled man started to draw but then stopped when they were arguing Matridom thinks that he might of understood something that they said, kneeling down to eye level with him she said slowly " if you can under stand me nod your head, if you can do that try telling me your name."

Teh Enemy kicked the serpent tendril with her untrapped leg. "Does it look like I want a tentacle around my leg?" She used her free leg to kick Areana in the shin lightly, then kept kicking at the tendril.

The Enemy shrugged. "You told it a joke so horrible it had a heart attack? You stabbed it with your own nails?" She laughed. "But seriously, I'm intruiged."

 

[SteakHeart]

"Hm... don't bite your own tail and don't try to eat sheep that look like your tail? Don't be a lindworm?" She shrugged. "I've never fought any beasts like that before. Just an unholy amount of thieves, murderers, and woman-beaters."

 

[SteakHeart]

The Enemy bit her lower lip. "It's kind of a bad memory," she said.

"I was about twelve seasons old when it happened. I was out with my mom, gathering berries and roots, and a man with a club came out of the bushes. My mom made me run off. Since my dad was off hunting with my brother, I couldn't get them, so I hid behind a tree. I... I didn't know at the time what the man was doing to my mother. All I heard was screaming and groaning. When I looked back, my mother was dead, ribs broken, head cracked open. On that day, I swore vengeance on that man and all men like him."

She paused for a breath. "Before you ask, it's okay, I've made peace with the event. No need to feel sorry for me. Now you see why I hate evildoers."

<spoiler=OOC>Suddenly I'm back, stop whatever you;re doing and let's go along with the story =P

Zero sighed at everyones bickering. "Well, it looks I have enough people wanting to help me. Or at least kill something, I don't know whatever really." he said as he started walking down the path, "We better strike now, before they gain enough strength to summon another beast as we get there." he said as he walked down a small dirt path that led to nearby mountains.

He continued his march until he got close. When they reached branching pathways, he stopped and turned around, "Well since I don't know exactly where they are, I think we need to split into 2 groups... Group 1 and group 2. Order yourselves however you want, I'm going quickly by myself..." he said as he vanished behind a rock, and was seen dashing up the mountain side, searching every nook and cranny he could see.

For simplistic stakes, First one to post that wants to be in group 1 or 2 can choose a colour that the team has to post in for a little bit.
I'm only leaving by myself so I can control villains... Easy than controlling a large number of people...

The Enemy looked to both paths. "I'll go to the left," she said. She walked up to the path and looked along it, into the trees. "Why don't you come with me, Aranea? I'm sure you can scare the loinclothes off of anyone in our way."

Strife followed Zero to the two paths in the road, smiling and not waiting for everyone else to follow. Once they reached the fork in the road, Zero darted off on his own while Strife was left alone to figure out which path he should take. He finally shrugged and started up the right path, waving behind him for anyone who had come with them. He laughed as The Enemy darted up the left path but he didn't bother to go after her.

Variava had followed Zero and the others all the way to the mountain pass, and now there was a choice to be made. He could go with the metal girl, or the other man he had met earlier. He shrugged and followed after the man, taking the right path. He came up behind the man ad put his hand on his shoulder, and said"Looks like it's us bud, maybe more will come" with a smile on his face.

"Haha, good to have you coming along Variava. Did you ever end up going back and getting those hydra fangs for your arrowheads?" Strife asked, turning to look at Variava who had come up behind him. It seemed that this man could become a very valuable asset for Strife, which brought a grin to his face.

"Alas, I hadn't the time to go back and grab them, and I had figured the villagers had picked it clean of anything of value by this point." Variava said, on odd frown of sadness on his face. But he perked up quickly and said "Opportunity missed, oh well." He said with a smile and a wink. "Life moves on, and I go with it, so what is the plan? Does this route have tactical advantage?"

"Not really sure. I took it so we didn't have to deal with the others on our search for whoever sent the hydra after us." Strife said, pointing back over his shoulder to where the metal girl had taken the left path. He armored up his legs and chest, and looked forward to see if anything of interest was ahead of him yet.

The northerner had nodded in response to the draconic demon. He still didn't know the words, but he could seem to feel some of the meaning behind them. He knew that it wanted his name, something he was hesitant to give. A name was a powerful thing in the wrong hands. Even a normal person could seriously harm and pervert another if they chose to use their name. For a wielder of black magic to have a hold of such a thing was tantamount to a fate worse then death.

Still, he had to be known. That was clear enough. His scaled arm rubbed against his side for a moment and gave him an idea. If he would be named here in the south lands then it should be a name that reminded him with every mention why he was here, what he had to overcome to return. Curse, he would be known simply as curse.

"Garkar." He spoke. He knew that the word would probably mean nothing to these people who didn't speak his language, but to him it was everything.

He now looked over the others. He did not know why, but they had come to a point some distance away. He had followed them this far, but now it seemed they were splitting up; two groups for some reason.

He didn't care much about which group to join, but he did not want to be left behind. Deciding without hesitation, he joined the left group.

Grimm glanced over both paths. His deciding factor ultimately was based on company. Grimm had not known these people for long but he had made is own opinions of these people.

"I guess I shall be heading right."

Grimm's trust of Strife was limited to say the best. He felt obligated to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't harm any villagers.
Variava, however,he was a man Grimm could trust. He may be a bit of a fool at times, but his heart was in the right place, he was also the first to jump at the opportunity to aid the villagers after hearing Zero's ramblings.

"Pleasure to meet both of you."

"There not bad people I don't think, But then again, I have been off in my own world for half of this." Variava said with a smile, taking his hand off the mans shoulder and turning to see if anyone had come to join them. Sure enough, the man called Grimm decided to take there path as well. "It is good to see we have more people choosing the right path!" He called out with a chuckle at his awful attempt at a play on words. "You made the ,Right, Choice!" He called out again, absolutley pleased with himself as he walked up to the man and began walking with him, chuckling every few seconds.

 

[Crooked Halo]

Levitas thought for a moment about which path he wanted to choose. Should he go left with strangers or right with one person he knew a little about. In the end, due to lack of knowledge about the people, he resorted to closing his eyes and singing a little rhyme. With each word his finger shifted position until the rhyme had ended. Opening his eyes he saw he would be going right with Grimm and a couple others.

"I'll be walking with you," He said to the right side as he walked towards them. He walked at a leisurely along the path, removing the hood of his cloak so he could feel the wind against his face. Once he was ahead he turned to see who else would be joining them.
