"I'm disappointed to hear that, dear." Valentine said to Erryn, visibly displeased at the rejection; though he quickly moved along to Ragnar. "And even more so to hear that. Though somehow I doubt Raven is the one who broke it..." He uttered with a terse voice. Valentine then turned his back towards the pair of them and began to walk away.

"Anyways, you shouldn't worry about the Aeralfos. You're about to have a different concern. Anna?" As if almost immediately after, two arcane bolts headed in the direction of Erryn and Ragnar; she got the fire bolt whilst the Lizalfos got the ice bolt. There was also the addition of a Wolfos that followed in their wake. Mere moments later the Lizalfos breathed a mighty column of fire which melted the ice bolt almost instantaneously, with the Wolfos getting a little bit by the blast as well. Erryn meanwhile just barely dodged the fire bolt as it careened past, but still managed to hit her and knocking her down to the floor.

"Take care of that Wolfos, stab it in the back if you can! I've got the mage!" Erryn could just hear the Lizalfos say as she stood up after being slightly disorientated by the attack, before she hastily had to dodge the jaws of the aforementioned Wolfos. She quickly slashed at it with her sword, hitting it on the left flank, causing it to whine in pain as it skidded around for another charge.

The privateer wasn't so lucky this time as the Wolfos tackled her to the ground, knocking her sword out from her hand, and where it's jaws began to try and bite her head off. It took most, if not all of Erryn's strength to hold the beast back whilst she thought of a way to deal with it. Erryn tried reaching for her sword, but one of the beast's paw was standing on it. She then saw that the Wolfos's hind leg was bleeding, and figured that might weak point to strike at.

"Say hello to the big bad wolf for me." Erryn said with a devilish grin on her face before striking at the beast's leg with her foot which made it howl in pain again. Using the opportunity, Erryn grabbed her now free sword and struck at the Wolfos. This finishing blow caused the Wolfos to fall over, before disappearing in a small cloud of purplish black smoke.

Erryn was still laying down on the cobblestones of the fountain, when she looked up and saw three Aerolfos fly up to the fountain and remove something from it. Of course! The three Sacred Stones! She immediately got to her feet and took out her crossbow, loading a bolt in the process. Aiming was difficult due to the nature of the mist, but she aimed at where she thought they were before pulling on the release mechanism.

"By the grace of Hylia, let this shot hit true." She quietly said to herself.

"What ill fortune bodes for me this day! Such masterful craft! Such beautiful pieces of art! Such a potentially horrifying slaughter! All ruined by a single stroke of foul luck!"

It was the Goron guy from earlier, the one who had been selling those terrible masks. It became very obvious that this was planned, although he apparently didn't take it as badly as he could. If anything he seemed... well, excited, almost. That frightened Rio, made him feel as if something really, really bad was about to happen.

Should I leave?

Then again, he couldn't always run away, he had to be a guard and... he wasn't the youngest there. The Rito boy, Sorti, would definitely fight. And out of the people there, Rio was one of the few that was actually armed, having brought in his spear as a way of making sure he could defend himself. And, who knew. Perhaps the Goron would just give up?

"But then, who are these heroes-to-be? So brave and brazen that they would dare to charge fearlessly into battle with Vaati? So arrogant as to challenge Sir Valentine's music with a tune of their own? Good! Very good! If you're so heroic, then perhaps you'd be willing to take on I, the mighty Hogan! You may have been spared the wrath of our lesser masks, but now you must content with one of the greater!"

Nope. Not at all. Rio wanted to comment aloud, ask what a terribly ugly name Hogan was, but he knew better than to fire someone up more than they already were. Especially this guy.

"Now, feel the wrath of the Mask of Steel!"

As he said that, the large creature put on another mask, which covered him in pure metal, from the looks of it. He couldn't see any weak spots, nor could he spot anything that could undo the magic of the mask... was this really it? How could he do anything with that? He knew his magic wasn't strong enough to calm this guy down and... perhaps... just perhaps, his other spell would work. Rio started playing the tune that allowed him to see into the past, while it might not be good for anything, perhaps there was a solution out there he could learn. Anything would work. His hands shook as he played, but the melody was flawless, affecting the space around the Goron, as well as the items it was carrying.

~Sorti~

Sorti, among several others turned when they heard the Goron step out from a nearby alley, lamenting the fact that the great plan that had doubtlessly been set in motion was ruined, at least concerning the masks. All in all, Sorti felt no sympathy, particularly since the masks were not only evil, but without the haunting music that controlled the wearers, they weren't even really suitable as decent masks.

It was when he hefted a steel mask that Sorti's face drained of all color.

"Now, feel the wrath of the Mask of Steel!"

As it was, Sorti didn't like the idea of picking a fight with a normal Goron. They had a reputation for being kind, gentle souls, and if that wasn't enough, the fact they were made of rock definitely discouraged him from fighting one even if he did have a good reason for it. When the mask salesman turned into a steel-coated version of himself, and spread his arms in invitation, Sorti started to back away.

He was reckless, yes. He was also foolish. But at the moment, he had effectively no right arm, and not even his Scimitar was like to make a scratch in the Goron's newly-metal hide. So he could be assured that he wasn't, however, stupid.

In fact, the Gerudo woman confirmed his fears when she drew both of her own scimitar's and charged, without doing much damage at all.

Turning to the spear-wielder, Sorti grimaced.

"I think we'd better run. Fast." he said, before looking up at the sound of something swooping in on them.

Or more accurately, on Hogan the mask salesman.

The dim light of the castle's upper levels didn't do much to assuage Lynd's nerves. He could barely see a few feet out in front of him - the perfect place to set up an ambush. He'd heard stories that 'blins could see in the dark - if they were true, he was in for a rough time. As he steeled himself and continued further in, a ghastly, high-pitched voice rang out through the battlements.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here? A couple of wolves coming to hunt down this poor rabbit? Or maybe you're just sheep in wolves' clothing... What's wrong? Having trouble tracking me with those pointy-ears of yours? Here, let me help. I'll give you some light!"

The world slowed to a crawl as Lynd saw a near-blinding flash of light to his left. A massive jet of flame was making its way towards him, threatening to turn him to a pile of ash in an instant. Bidden by instinct, he ducked low to the ground, executing a roll forwards under the fire. He grunted as its leading edge seared his flesh - even through his armor, it was hot enough to register as seriously painful.

It wasn't all for naught, however. Ro had the presence of mind to toss another light source in the voice's direction, and Lynd could see a faint outline of... something. Possibly a bokoblin, possibly the Princess for all he knew. What he was certain of, however, was that it was the source of that flame. He executed another flip - this one to finish his roll under the fire - and charged the figure, shield up and weapon ready.

The lantern clanked and rolled against the floor. It illuminated part of the hall and revealed the outline of a figure across from where Ro was and Lynd had been. As Lynd charged onward, the figure became increasingly visible. It was definitely a Bokoblin, although the colour was difficult to make out. The Blin had something on its head that looked like bunny ears and was wielding a pair of weapons that were probably machetes.

When Lynd himself was within the lantern's light, the Bokoblin spoke. "Oooh, another Hylian Guard? I was hoping I'd get to hack into some more!" Rather than charging forward as usually expected of a Blin, the figure instead rolled to the side. He did so with startling speed, tumbling past Lynd through flashes of light against darkness. Before the guardsman could react, the Bokoblin was charging with machetes swinging from Lynd's flank.

Erryn's bolt sailed through the mist and sunk into an Aeralfos' hide. It let out a shriek as the joint between its wing and shoulder was struck, causing its body to spasm. It released its grip on the Zora Sapphire, the Sacred Stone clanking as it fell against a nearby roof, followed shortly by the Aeralfos who dropped it.

After the first Aeralfos fell, its partner and Raven flew down to the roof. The second Aeralfos reached towards the former's shoulder and gripped the bolt, ready to yank it out when the Rito interrupted. "Don't bother with him. He can't fly with an injury like that." she said. "Grab the Sacred Stone and leave him. We can't have dead weight slowing us down."

Both of the Aeralfos shot glares at her. The second though reluctantly nodded, picking up the Zora Sapphire and batting his wings. The first Aeralfos hissed and banged against the shingles in protest, as his former partner and Raven began flying off with all three Sacred Stones in tow. They flapped their wings hard, lifting themselves as far away from the ground as they could and making way towards the Eldin Gate. The Aeralfos lift behind continued to hiss in anger. It reached towards it back, producing what appeared to be a bow and readying an arrow.

Meanwhile, Anna was not enjoying her position in the slightest. Despite being invisible still, Ragnar had managed to pin down the sorceress effectively. The Dinolfos could feel her shaking and hear her hissing. With her palms placed against the ground though, there was little Anna could do to get out of her predicament. "Hideous, wretched animal! Get your disgusting claws off of me!" she yelled.

Valentine shook his head as he watched the display. With a sigh, he walked over and began rolling up his suit sleeves. A pair of thick golden bracelets were now visible around his wrists after doing so. Once close enough Valentine placed both his hands on Ragnar, the Dinolfos too occupied with the sorceress to react.

"Excuse me, sir..." the musician muttered. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to escort you away from the lady." Valentine's hands gripped Ragnar with a sudden intensity. With seemingly little effort, he lifted the Dinolfos off from the invisible Anna. Valentine then threw Ragnar and sent him slamming against the ground a few meters away.

"Anna, dear? Feel free to make your leave." he said. "I will deal with these ruffians." With that, there was a flash of light in the shape of a person's outline. Valentine smirked as he brought his hands together. He cracked his knuckles as he looked over to Ragnar and then Erryn. "Are either of you interested in turning back? I certainly hope so. I'd hate to get this suit all bloody."

[HEADING=2]Around the Market[/HEADING]

Hogan laughed as Hyoko swung her blades against him. Sparks flew everywhere as the scimitars clanked uselessly against the Goron's metal skin. Hyoko's magic bolts seemed to do nothing as well, besides leaving a mild scorch mark on one side of Hogan and some frost on the other.

The Goron made his attack. He swung one of his arms, which was now more like a weapon than a limb, straight out Hyoko. With the girl pouring her all into offense, there was little to do in reaction to the attack. Hogan's arm swung at her, hitting Hyoko hard and swatting her aside into a nearby wall. The Goron roared with laughter again.

"Foolish desert witch! The Mask of Steel cannot be overcome by such mundanities!" Hogan started walking over to Hyoko, each step crushing the ground beneath him with tremendous weight. But then something caught the Goron's attention. A Mothula, the Kokiri riding it and a Kargoroc with them. Hogan chuckled as he turned to face the new arrivals.

"Oh? What's this then?" he bellowed. "I've never slain a Mothula before! Let alone one mounted by a Kokiri! Although, that would make for a rollicking good fight!" Hogan beat his iron chest, sparks scattering as he spread his arms out. "Come on then, brother! Show me what you're made of!"

As Rio played his song, an after-image became apparent. It was the ghostly figure of Hogan from several minutes ago, holding his stack of masks as he handed them out to various festival-goers. There were three other ghostly figures next to him though - one a Bokoblin with a bunny hood, another a Hylian with a fine suit and a violin case and the last a cloaked figure with only a scowling, brown mouth visible under their hood.

Hogan himself turned, startled by the after-image. "Ah! Spectres!" he howled, swinging his fists at the illusion and specifically his own ghostly form.

"Foolish desert witch! The Mask of Steel cannot be overcome by such mundanities!"

"... Mask of steel?" Ingo asked Perci, looking at the... steel Goron. Seemed the effect would be kinda obvious, but... A mask that turns a person to metal? He shook his head, looking frustrated somewhat, perhaps being too loud.

"Who the hell would even put that sort of enchantment on something? What's the point- you know what, it's still better than the sand rod."

"Oh? What's this then? I've never slain a Mothula before! Let alone one mounted by a Kokiri! Although, that would make for a rollicking good fight!"

'And he noticed me. Fantastic.' Ingo surveyed the scene, seemed a crowd of four people were getting their asses proper kicked by a single man. Granted the man had a powerful mask, but still. A blin, a young Rito, and a Gerudo, one was a sorceress, likely the Gerudo judging from his very loud yelling. He quickly tried to make a plan of attack on a metal opponent, he trained under Vaati for a reason.

"Come on then, brother! Show me what you're made of!"

"Grumpiness and lightning, but that isn't important right now!" Ingo's mind raced, but his plan of attack was simple enough. His mounts Morths would be useless, but it had another weapon. It fired off a quick energy beam, followed by two more finer aimed ones while Perci and his kagaroc flew to the group.

"HEY, Mr Volume Control! I'm the one you're fighting here, I wanna look you in the eyes when I kill you! EI NATH!" Ingo threw an ice blast, trying to hamper Hogan's ability to maneuver.

"Hi there! Any of you have a plan?" The fairy asked innocently, "'Cause the fountain's a bit of a mess right now and you people might be better appreciated there."

"Yes!" Erryn said with a sigh of relief as she could hear the shriek of something through the mist, it meant her crossbow bolt must have made it's mark. She still had her sword trained on Valentine the musician though, expecting that he had some kind of trick up his sleeves. Despite the mist obscuring some of her vision, Erryn could make out the form of Ragnar having grabbed a hold of 'something', which likely was the mage that Ragnar spoke of.

"Excuse me, sir..." Valentine said as he walked over to Ragnar. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to escort you away from the lady." It was then that Ragnar came flying through the mist and landed a few meters away from Erryn. "Anna, dear? Feel free to make your leave." He said to the invisible mage. "I will deal with these ruffians." It was then that Valentine began to walk over to both Erryn and Ragnar, the privateer could make out something golden and shiny adorning his wrists.

"Power Bracelets?! Why that no good cheating son of a... *sigh* seems like I'll have to let the Sacred Stones go for the moment, unless someone happens to spot the Aerolfoses and Rito." Erryn said to herself as Valentine looked towards both Erryn and Ragnar.

"Are either of you interested in turning back? I certainly hope so. I'd hate to get this suit all bloody."

"And let some pompous, jumped up, overly haughty musician get away with what he and his cohorts are currently doing? You wish. I may not be a paragon of virtue, but at least I'm not going around doing evil for evil's sake. And what's with the Power Bracelets huh? Didn't think your magical violin would be enough did you? Well come one then pretty boy, let's do this."

- Meanwhile, at the Eastern Plaza Entrance -

Rosario, a skilled archer and fairly recent member to the crew of the Nayru's Wind, was out standing by the eastern entrance to the fountain plaza with his sister Kirrahe; though sometimes she liked to be called Kira. The pair of them became crew-members after the ship they was travelling on had been sunk by pirates, and they were left floating on a section of wood they'd used as a makeshift raft.

It was a few hours later when they saw a ship sailing in their general direction. Kira, being a mage launched a fire bolt into the sky to attract attention; and as luck would have it, the large ship had noticed and slightly altered their course to intercept. After the introductions were over with, and the siblings thanked Erryn and her crew for saving them, they offered to become crew-members. Seeing that the Nayru's Wind lacked any sort of magical aid on board, and them needing an additional long ranged fighter, Erryn accepted the proposal. The rest they say is history.

"Kira! Look, up there! Isn't that a Rito I see, and what appears to be an Aerolfos flying overhead." Rosario pointed out to his sister. Kira looked at the sight from underneath the hood of her dark blue cloak.

"Your powers of observation continue to impress me Captain Obvious. What you failed to notice is that they are carrying the Stones away in their talons." Remarked the slightly more mature, albeit younger of the siblings in a slightly sarcastic manner.

"That they are! Well, we can't let them get away. What would Captain Erryn say if we simply let them pass? I know, a well placed shot with a Bomb Arrow should knock those Stones out, probably damage those birds a bit as well." Spoke Rosario with bravado as he began to prepare one of his Bomb Arrows.

"And risk potentially destroying the Sacred Stones in the process? Whilst the Stones are indeed old, and have survived for many years; time like all things, takes its toll on everything, even objects of great power. It could take but a single knock from your bombs to damage enough that the impact could cause them to shatter. I suggest a Fire Arrow instead, not as risky in my opinion. Don't release it yet, wait till they've passed us." Taking Kira's advice, Rosario removed the single bomb he had managed to attach before knocking up a regular Arrow. Waiting for the Aerolfos and the Rito to go overhead, he let the three arrows fly, each one accompanied by a fire bolt provided by Kira.

Hyoko slowly pushed herself upwards, wincing in pain. "Okay, that didn't work." She said to herself. Already, she could see the iron-skinned Goron was being distracted by a small boy in green.

If that wasn't enough, what looked like a winged ball of light fluttered in front of her and for a moment, she thought she'd hit her head harder than she'd thought.

"Hi there! Any of you have a plan? 'Cause the fountain's a bit of a mess right now and you people might be better appreciated there."

"Sorry, I already tried my plan, and now I'm fresh out." She winced.

Ragnar was shocked to say the least when he was lifted off of his prey by the musician so effortlessly. "What the..Gaaahhh!!!" he yelled and snarled as he was chucked several yards away, crashing to the ground on his bad shoulder. The dinolfos cried out in pain and a fresh spurt of blood began pouring from his now re-opened wound, slowly getting to his feet and clutching his bleeding shoulder. He quickly backed up several steps to where Erryn was standing, wanting to have someone by his side when taking this man on. He had proven to have more than just a violin up his sleeve at this point, literally and metaphorically.

"Are either of you interested in turning back? I certainly hope so. I'd hate to get this suit all bloody."

Blood continued to seep from his shoulder wound as he spoke, the dinolfos weighing his options at this point. He had been in plenty of scuffles with people that he had pranked over the years with the Skullkid, but nothing as serious as this. With a wry grin, he held up his good arm in the shape of a fist. "To tell ya the truth, I don't have anywhere to turn back to. I have no home, no family or friends. I left my forest to come and find answers about the world. My own species spits on my existence, So really, I can think of worse ways to go than to go down brawling." he grinned, looking at the man, but then looking up as something caught his eye, one of the Aerolfos trapped on a rooftop with a broken wing, and a bow and arrow in its hands. "Lady, sorry, I don't know your name, but keep your eyes up, there's an archer on the roof over there." he muttered to her beneath his breath. "We're already in an unfair fight with this tricky bastard, we don't need Arrows raining on our heads while we fight him...Do you think we could lure him inside somewhere?" He suggested, blood trickling down his wrist and onto the ground below as he spoke, panting heavily from using up so much energy running and breathing fire and everything. "not to mention I wouldn't mind a small breather...had more than my share of exercise for the day." he chuckled to himself.

My own species spits on my existence, So really, I can think of worse ways to go than to go down brawling." Spoke Ragnar as he clutched his bleeding shoulder. This made Erryn feel sympathetic towards the Lizalfos.

"A lost soul with no home to go back to, well that is rather sad." She said to herself as Ragnar continued talking.

"Lady, sorry, I don't know your name, but keep your eyes up, there's an archer on the roof over there." He muttered quietly to Erryn as he pointed out a stranded Aerolfos up on a nearby rooftop with his good hand, or rather claw. "We're already in an unfair fight with this tricky bastard, we don't need Arrows raining on our heads while we fight him...Do you think we could lure him inside somewhere?" He then added with a slight pant. "Not to mention I wouldn't mind a small breather...had more than my share of exercise for the day."

"Likewise Mate, I mean, last night I had to fight to pull off a few of my crew who were trying to beat a town guardsman all shades of black and blue from six ways to Sunday. Though I will admit, the guardsman did put up a pretty impressive fight, had a golden coloured gauntlet on him if memory serves. Anyway, back to the matter at hand." Erryn said quietly to Ragnar as she began to think up a plan.

"We could perhaps lead him back to the tavern. The enclosed space would mean if he tries to pull any strongman antics, there's a possibility of it bouncing back on to him; plus there may be a few mercenaries or other fighters still inside who could be persuaded to help us one way or another. It's that or we lead him to someplace more open where he can't cause too much property damage. By the way, the name is Erryn, Captain Erryn if it's someone important, but never Lady." She then added at the end, still speaking quietly.

The Dinolfos nodded and looked at Valentine, his breathing still erratic from all the damage and exertion he'd had to deal with. "Pleasure to meet you Erryn...And yes, getting him into the tavern would probably be the best course of action, trick is getting him to follow us in." he rumbled to himself, looking over at Valentine. "Really wish that Rito ***** hadn't chucked my clawshot away...." He grumbled to himself. "I'm going to retreat into the building, see if I can find some help to get my shoulder tended to. If it gets any worse I don't know how it'll heal up." he grunted to her, the dinolfos's arm still dripping blood down to his knuckles.

[HEADING=2]The Market[/HEADING]

As Hogan swung away at the phantom images, he was struck in the side by a sudden energy beam. The attack was so surprising that the metal Goron stumbled and was almost knocked off his feet. He remained weighted down though and slowly turned to face his attacker. He lifted both his arms up to cover his face, as one might do when blocking in a boxing match. The two beams hit Hogan directly and caused him to stagger backwards. The metal skin around his arms burned a hissing, bright red.

He roared as an ice bolt flew towards him, covering his hide with more frost. "Coward! How dare you strike a warrior when his back is turned!" shouted Hogan. "I'll pulverize you! Pound you into dust! You better believe it, brother!"

With that, Hogan reached over a picked up a nearby barrel with both hands. He yelled as he hurled the makeshift projectile at the Mothula. Quickly, he picked up pots in each hand and threw them at Ingo's creatures as well.

Meanwhile, Sorti felt a sharp pain surging through his right arm. Although the feeling was unpleasant to say the least, it was a good sign. It meant that feeling was coming back to his arm.

[HEADING=2]The Fountain[/HEADING]

Valentine stood by, waiting rather politely as Erryn and Ragnar talked amongst each other. Soon though his patience wore thin and he raised his voice. "If you're done plotting..." he said, stepping towards the two. His face turned Erryn first, who he grinned at. "I must say, your words wound me deeply my dear!" Valentine placed his hands over his heart, arching his body in exaggeration. "If I weren't a gentlemen, I'd feel obliged to return such hurt..."

His attention then turned to Ragnar, who he frowned sadly at. "And I feel so sorry, so touched by your sorrowful story! If I had my violin I would string an appropriate song for you, but alas..." His frowned turned to one of anger. "You broke it. And now you'll have to pay for it."

With that, Valentine came charging towards Ragnar. He raised his arm back, forming it into a fist as he punched towards the Dinolfos' gut. Another fist would follow up shortly after, aimed at Ragnar's face.

[HEADING=2]The Roofs[/HEADING]

Raven and the Aeralfos continued to fly across the eastern end of Castle Town. Their flight was not unopposed though, as soon a flurry of arrows and fire bolts came at them from down the road. The first fireball was stopped by Raven, who used her wings to sent a gust of wind its way. The second was avoided entirely as the flyers dodge out of the way, heat singeing the Rito's feathers. She attempted to put out the flames by frantically flapping, while the Aeralfos caught a pair of arrows on its shield.

Another fireball came towards the Aeralfos, who braced its shield as he had with the arrows. This had less success though, flames scorching the Aeralfos and promoting it to hiss in pain. As it swung its shield away, trying to bat away the fire on its leather armour, another arrow came flying. It struck the Aeralfos in the leg, resulting in another hiss and the lizard dropping one of the Sacred Stones - the Zora Sapphire.

Raven turned to face the Aeralfos, likely scowling behind her mask. Another arrow whizzed above her head that startled her so bad she almost dropped the Kokiri Emerald. "IDIOT!" she hissed. The Aeralfos, wincing from pain had a look of shock and shame on its face. It flew down towards the Zora Sapphire, only for Raven to scream. "Leave it! Fly you stupid lizard, before you drop the other!"

The Aeralfos complied, gripping the Goron Ruby tightly. It and Raven flew towards the Eldin Gate with increased momentum. As they soared past Rosario and Kira, the Aeralfos opened its maw and shot out a quick jet of flame at the two. It wasn't long then after that both of the singed flyers soared above the gate and out of Castle Town.

Meanwhile, the Aeralfos stuck on the roof readied his bow with a special arrow. It reached into his side pouch, pulling out a bomb with some twine at the head. He stuck the explosive onto his arrowhead, tying it tight and lighting the end carefully with a cough of its fire breath. Whether the Aeralfos was aiming at its former comrades or the privateers attacking them was unknown, but the bomb arrow soared down the eastern street. It flew far, striking against a roof near the gate before exploding. Smoke filled the air as shrapnel rained over the streets.

"Coward! How dare you strike a warrior when his back is turned! I'll pulverize you! Pound you into dust! You better believe it, brother!"

"Do you HAVE an indoor voice, you steely fuck?!" Ingo lazily waved his hand, a strong gust of wind blowing away the trash Hogan threw, almost looking disappointed on his mount. His mount, meanwhile, shot another couple of energy beams at the large target, rapid bursts made more for damage. Ingo, meanwhile, pulled out his semi-stolen hookshot. The steel hide was annoying, he wanted to see if getting rid of his precious mask would help.

He aimed it carefully, releasing the hooks as his Mothula kept up the assault.

"Sorry, I already tried my plan, and now I'm fresh out."

"Hm... Sorry to hear that. He has potions, but he's a bit preoccupied." Perci did a small flip thing, "Perhaps try the castle? I'm sure they've secured there at least! We can send our Kargaroc with you, too! Added protection."

Erryn - Castle Town Plaza

"I must say, your words wound me deeply my dear!" Valentine said visibly annoyed as he placed his hands over his heart. "If I weren't a gentlemen, I'd feel obliged to return such hurt..." Erryn raised a smirk at that last remark as the musician turned to face Ragnar with a small frown. "And I feel so sorry, so touched by your sorrowful story! If I had my violin I would string an appropriate song for you, but alas..." However, the façade that was his frown soon gave way, and in it's place one of anger and hate. "You broke it. And now you'll have to pay for it." Valentine suddenly came charging towards the pair, though the focus of his attention was squarely aimed at Ragnar, whereby his right fist slammed into Ragnar's gut whilst his left was preparing for a shot to the head.

Erryn had sidestepped to the right to avoid the first swing, then went round to the back of Valentine and wrapped the red scarf he was wearing around her right arm, whilst trying to grab a hold of his left arm with the other; though the increased strength gained from the Power Bracelets were making it so that she was barely able to hold on.

"Quickly! You got to try and remove those golden bracelets that he's wearing, it's what's giving him that increased strength."

Rosario and Kirrahe - Eastern Plaza Entrance

The siblings continued their assault on their aerial adversaries with mixed success, some shots made their mark but seemed to have little effect, that was until one of Rosario's arrows had hit the still able Aerolfos in the leg, causing it to hiss out loud, and drop one of the Sacred Stones, but neither of the siblings could tell which one from a distance. It looked as though that the Aerolfos attempted to retrieve it, but the Rito ordered it to stop and they continued on flying towards the gate, but not before the Aerolfos flew overhead and shot out a jet of flame.

"Look out!" Rosario shouted before grabbing Kira and narrowly avoided the jet of flame by stepping into a nearby doorway, it hitting the back of his coat, setting it a light. Noticing the flames, Rosario took off his coat, throwing it to the floor and stamping out the flames. Picking it back up, he noticed the medium sized burn patch. "Look at that, damned Aerolfos ruined my best coat."

"Worry about your fashion later Rosario, more important things require our attention..." Kira said, before being interrupted by a loud explosion. Peeking out from behind the alcove, Kira could see that a bomb arrow had just impacted with one of the nearby roofs, sending dust and various flavors of shrapnel rained across the street.

"There must be an archer on the rooftop above us. And look over there, it looks like the Sacred Stone that Aerolfos dropped landed in the middle of the street. If you can cover me as I approach brother, I'll try and recover it. No doubt the Captain would be pleased if we were able to."

"You sure about this sis? What if the bowman tries shooting at you?" Asked Rosario, showing concern for his younger sister.

"Then you will just have to shoot back. Alright, on the count of three. One, Two, Three." Kira responded with, visualizing the countdown with her fingers before carefully stepping out and moving towards the Zora Sapphire, soon followed by Rosario, his bow ready to shoot.

Bannog had an idea, even if it was rather strange. He glanced about. He knew he'd seen it somewhere...
He shouted a quick, "Run away!" to the children before dashing to the side of the market, casting about for it. He heard the sounds of battle behind him, and swore quietly.

Hopefully this would work. If not, he ditched three children to try something nonsensical. He stopped, took a deep breath, and steadied himself. If it didn't work, he'd hold the big crazy Goron himself for the children to flee, if it came to that.

He spotted it, and grabbed it, running back toward the battle. A kokiri on some sort of beast had appeared, but it seemed to be fighting the Goron, so Bannog was so not worried about it.

He dropped his spear, and reared back. With a flick forward, he cast the fishing line from the pole towards the mask, praying under his breath to forgotten, primal gods. He saw a hook coming from the other way, as well, from the kokiri. Hopefully one of them could catch the mask and tear it out, but...

They'd see.

"And I feel so sorry, so touched by your sorrowful story! If I had my violin I would string an appropriate song for you, but alas..." His frowned turned to one of anger. "You broke it. And now you'll have to pay for it."

Before the Dinolfos could react, He was doubled over by a powerful shot to his gut, forcing a large gout of flame to spew from his open maw, searing Valentine's clothes and bathing him in a coat of golden flames. Though, the flames soon ran out as the remaining air in his lungs was knocked out by the punch, and the follow through to his jaw sent him flying back several feet into the door of the smokey dodongo, smashing through it and crashing into the bar room floor, loosing his skullkid hat and lying there covered in blood and gasping for air. His mind was going dark slowly, sounds were getting distorted as the blood loss and exhaustion took their toll on his body, all the while clutching at his throat, trying to get some air back into his body as he rolled around on the ground, writhing in pain in his abdomen and jaw.

"Quickly! You got to try and remove those golden bracelets that he's wearing, it's what's giving him that increased strength."

He heard Erryn shouting at him, but her words were a bit too slow, his consciousness slowly slipping from him and darkness was taking over his field of vision. Some Hylians and Bokoblins were gathering around the battered and bruised Dinolfos, and ragnar noticed that many of them had weapons at their hips or in their hands. He gambled that they were mercenaries, like some of the people who guarded the caravans that he and the Skullkid used to torment and prank as they passed by the entrance of the Kokiri forest. Using a great deal of his willpower, the dinolfos slipped a hand into his pocket and pulled out one of the rupees he had gotten from the violin, a silver one, and held it up to them. "Please...stop that man...he is...trying to....kill us all...The masks...the violin...the people...he wants to see us suffer and burn...please stop him" he pleaded with the patrons crowded around him, trying to stay conscious as he made his plea. He didn't even know much about this town, the people, or much of anything for that matter, but if he allowed that Valentine person to get away, it would surely end badly for everyone. The dinolfos then blacked out, his hand dropping and loosing the rupe from his grip, sending it clanging to the ground, his stamina at its limits for the time being. While he was in no mortal danger, he certainly needed a rest and felt quite content to take a nice little nap on the floor of the bar.

It seemed the song had a different effect than Rio had anticipated, ending up confusing the Goron with the after-images. However, he went along with it, kept playing as more people arrived.

Should I stop? I wouldn't like him to...

When the Goron stopped looking at the after-images, he did stop, taking in his surroundings, stepping away. It might have been because he was scared, but honestly, if he was scared of anything, it was the small person who had hit the Goron with an energy beam, just like that. Mounted on a... thing.

I suppose we know that they're on our side, I think...

Rio stepped out of their way, whatever he could do was clearly nothing compared to these guys, and he started playing the song again, hoping to catch the attention of the Goron again, but failing to do so, the after-images dancing but not really confusing anyone.

Ah, I'm not useful, am I?

If I can't catch his attention that way, what then? People were talking, perhaps to him, but he didn't hear them. Instead the Zora went up to the Goron, just as two people shot different kind of -well, one of them was a fishing pole, and the other a hook-shot- so, catching equipment? Anyways, he ran up to the Goron, and took his spear in hand, trying to hit the same parts that had been hit by an energy-beam before, if it was glowing red, would it be melted enough for the spear to get through?

If nothing else, Rio figured, it would be enough of a distraction for one of the others plans to work.

Lynd was alive. That was good. Ro got to his feet, the slight charring on his clothes barely noticeable. The light he had tossed provided faint illumination of their foe. Thin and lanky, seemingly carrying a pair of weapons. Ro was still analyzing as Lynd charged.

Ro was too stunned to yell, and soon Lynd was behind the veil of the partial darkness. "Oooh, another Hylian Guard? The voice was definitely from one of the monster races. "I was hoping I'd get to hack into some more!"

The figure tumbled to the side with expert side and dexterity. Avoiding Lynd's assault. He swung his bladed weapons towards the young guard. Ro could barely make out the action and did not see what happened. Lynd needed his help though. Ro decided stealth was called for, he hugged his back to the wall and begin advancing towards the clash, using the shadows as cover. He kept his shield up at all times, he hand drifting down to his still sheathed sword, that he really hoped he would not have to use. As soon as he got close enough he would try for a shield bash like he learned at the academy. He had to help.

~Sorti~

The next few minutes were nothing short of chaotic. Some giant insect had swooped in, ridden by what looked like a Hylian boy, while Rio the Zora played something magical with his flute, causing ghostly forms to materialize around Hogan, including an image of Hogan himself, distracting the monstrous Goron. Sorti looked up at the spear-wielder, Bannog, and nodded when he shouted to the others in the group.

"Run away!"

Turning, the little Rito started to run away from the battle, only to stop after a few feet. He was supposed to be starting a career as an adventurer, a sellsword, and running away the moment something difficult comes up wasn't the way to do that. He had to at least try.

He looked down at his right wing and found he could finally start to feel it again, though it was very painful to flex it. Still, it meant he wasn't helpless anymore. Glancing behind him, he watched as the insect thing fired a few harsh-looking lasers at the metal Goron, pushing it back and causing Hogan's steel skin to turn red-hot.

That alone was something to take note of, but what really caught the Rito's attention were what Bannog and the Hylian child were trying to do: While the spear-wielder had discarded his spear in favor of a fishing rod, the child was using some sort of clawed device, and both were attempting to get Hogan's mask off.

He took a moment to think about what he could do to help, before he smiled grimly beneath his beak. He had an idea, but whether or not it would work was up for grabs.

Bracing himself against the pain, Sorti pushed himself into the air, flapping his wings to get as much altitude as possible, all while hoping the flying lizards the the evil Rito woman were too busy to take notice. Once he felt he was high enough, he positioned himself right above Hogan, then simply dropped.

Once he started his dive, he drew his Scimitar, and aimed it at his masked face. If the mask came off, Hogan would hopefully either be done-for, or really hurting. But if Bannog and the kid couldn't get off his mask, maybe a little leverage could.

"Run away!"

Bannog's words made Hyoko almost jump in surprise. She looked up to see Bannog and the child in green working on getting the Goron's mask off. She knew she had to do something, but what? After her last attack didn't go so well, what could she do?

But already, she could see the Rito boy diving towards the fight, intending to do his part. So she would go into battle too. Drawing her scimitars again, Hyoko charged back into the fray.
